I'm a K-3 filer, but also pursuing CR1. I called NVC this morning to get my NVC number details and my IIN so I can pay online. The lady put me on hold for 3 minutes to check and see if he online option is still available. She came back and said that they had too many issues with the online system and has discontinued it

It appears that if you are going to the CR1 route, you will be reverted to old fashion snail mail for payment. Just thought I'd share the info.

I suggest you call again later tonight and try to get a different agent because there are still many people who are using it without a hitch. Some even heard the same schpill from the NVC.

Try calling at different times throughout the day.. My best option call after 9 pm at night and do not mention that you want to pay the bill online, that's why you need IIN... There are some agents who will give the INN right away and some are not giving..

The same thing happened with me last month. They said online payments were discontinued however she still gave me my IIN. I went online and paid, and they next day it went through and I was able to print my AOS bar code sheet online. Get your IIN and try paying online anyway.

The issues that NVC is having with online is that they are getting Overwhelmed with paperwork becasue the online system goes faster

I called yesterday, i first asked for IIN number, by the guys' response he made me feel like i was ordering a pizza or something. He didnt know what i was talking about. I then tried to explian what it is, and mentioned online payment and he said the online payment system is down at the moment and that i should just wait to recieve information in the mail.

Try call again at different times so you get to talk to different reps.

I was able to get IIN without much hassle from a woman rep, but she cautioned me not to pay until the fee bills are generated in the system to avoid delays.

When I first called for the IIN# the person did not know what I was talking about but I told her the invoice number then she gave it to me. You can try getting that then try paying. If it does not work it will say it on the website otherwise you can use it. Make sure all the info is correct. They also said that about faxing in papers. The first rep gave me a number and then when I called again about it she said because they are having so much problems with it they will no longer accept docs by fax. Goodluck

they always sayz that the online payment is not open to the public yet but yes u can make a payment online.. i just done it. goodluck... try to call again and ask for you IIN. if they ask why are u getting the IIN tell them its to update you case otherwise they dont want give it to you.goodluck.
