How soon can you pay the AOS fee?

The AVR says: "...This case was entered in the NVC computer system on _______. The case number assigned by the NVC is (Case #). Please allow 6-8 week from this date for the beneficiary to receive the documents"

The operator says: DS-3032 and fee bill have not been generated. It takes 6-8 weeks.

Got the IIN from the operator, she reminded me not to pay any of the fees until the bills are generated.

But, when I logged on to the IV Invoice Payment Center:

status for AOS fee is "not paid"

status for IV fee is "not invoiced"

Does that mean it is alright to pay the AOS fee now? or must wait until the AVR says "AOS fee bill has been generated"?

No please do not pay any fee now. The AOS fee bill should be generated along side the DS-3032 form. I can understand it already shows that the AOS fee bill has been generated but if you pay now, you might be charged the same bill twice. Its complex. Please wait a few days if possible or else it is up to you. We did not wait the last time and NVC charged us twice and we did not receive any refund on that either.

Yeah, you should never ever pay or send anything until the NVC says it has been generated because it will cause major delays.

Wait until it is generated before paying it may result in delaying the processing of your case and also you might be charged twice.

to make sure call nvc operator every single day to make sure that you can make a payment otherwise you will be charge two times... goodluck godbles.
