Sounds to me like they are more interested in ensuring that immigrants truly immigrate and assimilate than keeping them out altogether. The lack of willingness to integrate is one of the things Ayaan Hirsi Ali has criticized for a long time. The failure to push immigrants towards a resonable amount of integration is what's gotten Western Europe where it is today. There's nothing wrong with pointing out that extreme multi-culti is a failed concept.

True, there's nothing wrong with pointing that out because it is true (even though multiculturalism doesn't really fit the description since it's more like a parallel-culturalism that is the problem). The problem, however, is that Ayaan Hirsi Ali joined forces with a party that is staunchly against any form of immigration and wants to keep the Netherlands Dutch. I think she was used by the party because she helped moderate the true image in a similar way that the Republican convention in 2000 portrayed itself as all-inclusive only to screw the people supporting this display of integration a few years later (see the Federal Marriage amendment and the Log Cabin Republicans). That's another reason I feel sorry for her...

No, she's planning to work for the American Enterprise Institute (which shows that she doesn't agree with my point that she was used by a political org), but in terms of getting her point across to her former friends in the Dutch party, she's definitely not been too successful. Concerning Muslim women in Europe on the other hand, she's probably done some good but has also increased polarization...
