mario lost his state and drivers id -- how do request this out of state?

If he's from Louisiana, he can request his records from here.

http://omv.dps.state.la.us/odr/odr.asp

I believe, he can also renew his driver's id online.

To be honest, I'm not sure what this would do since the US embassy is only asking for 5 things, from reading the letter you posted, and none of these have something to do with Mario's identity.

  1. Affidavit of Support I-864
  2. Notarized certificate of employment
  3. rental or ownership documents of sponsor's house or apt
  4. notarize letter of the setup between your dad (The sponsor) and the benificiary (you)
  5. Verify if your child is a USC

Seems to me, most of your problem is just because of the Affidavit of Support.

well sounds to me your husband need to go back to usa without you for awhile and get a place to live and get his place to live and a job or i am afraid you might not ever get here or you file papers so he can stay there in phils and not worry about coming to usa. he need to prove he has a residence here in usa. which after 2 yrs in the phils. usem dont believe he has a place to live and you will become dependant on the goverment. i would just worry about getting your husband out of the country and home you only have ayear to get this all taken care of before you have to refile all papers again take care and god bless

USEM dont believe he has a place to live because frankly, it sounds like he doesnt. This is where most of of Jonah's immigration problems is coming from.

I agree with you on the domicile as well. Mario needs to go back to the US asap. As a matter of fact, Mario needed to go back to the US about two years ago.

Jonah, Im so sorry for being candid. I hope I do not offend you but your posts keeps going back and forth between problems without a resolution.

You've been going through this problem like you must go the the US so you can work and bail Mario but really... It should be the other way around.

Mario needs to go back to the US ASAP and get a job and start taking care of you guys (You and your daughter) right away. He needs to figure out how he can get out of the PI. If he was smart enough to go there in PI and get married to begin with, Im sure he'll think of something. He has to. He cant just sit there in PI.

My advice if your husband is willing to do whatever it takes…Get back to US ASAP, enlist in to the military, in three or four months he could get half of his enlistment bonus to pay off the debt he has incurred while in PI and have enough to cover the filing fees and support you and your daughter. Since he is married his pay should easily meet the requirements for financial support since soldiers have a lower poverty guideline minimum and depending on what he chooses to do (i.e., combat), you may be able to get military expedite. Sometimes a man's got to do what a man's got to do, and it sounds like his options are few.

Just my thoughts, but what do I know?

American Citizen Services in USEM is more than willing to help out Americans in dire need of help in the Philippines. He just needs to bring his passport and proof of citizenship. They'd let him in without any hassle, for as long as he presents these documents.

Jonah, so so sorry to hear what is happening but you need to listen to the advice being given by every one on here, it's all solid and what is required. Every one is being nice about it but you surely must detect the untertone is they really want to give the pair of you the "tough love" approach which I am now trying to give you ever so lightly (trust me very unusual for me).

The two of you can't live on just being young and in love any more as you are parents, you now have a single most important person to take care of and need to step up to the plate and be responsible adults. Get Mario on the plane to start getting a home for you to start a new life ASAP!!

We're all on your side and wish only the best for you!

Take care

Hi Jona,

Rom. 8:29 "All things work together for good to those who love God." God just wants us to realize that we can't do things without Him. We really need to submit everything to Him. JUst call on His name everyday Jo. We're His daughters . Remember how your baby call you if she needs you. We are like that. God just wants us to let Him do things for us. Remember their are no problems if their are no solutions. It was just designed so that we could always count on Him. Have faith . His working for you.

P.S..Practise calling " Oh Lord Jesus" everyday.

God bless

you might have or might not have read this part of the domicile requirement for the petitioner as stated in the us embassy site (http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3207.html):

"Q: Our petitioner has lived in the Philippines for the past few years, but plans to go back with us to the United States when we immigrate. Does this satisfy the domicile requirement?

This will depend on the overall circumstances of the case, but in most instances this will not satisfy the requirement. If the petitioner has chosen to make the Philippines his or her home in recent years, he or she may need to re-establish residence in the United States before the applicant(s) can be issued a visa."

In light of this, I would agree with others who suggest your husband needs to go back to the US the soonest in order to "re-establish his residence" in the USA... It might not be as easy as one click of a finger due to the financial constraints but this should be addressed first and foremost least the problems you are having with the visa process will just go in circles going nowhere.

My heart is with you. I hope you and your husband could find the best solution soon and hope all goes well in the end. May God guide your path and may He give you wisdom always. (F)
