Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Well Brother Dean, I was trying to think of some names to call these people but I think you have expressed all our feelings as fluently as normal, nice one :lol:

More seriously, Cari, it has been heartbreaking to read of all this added stress and what you and Crash have been through these last few days, God willing it is all over soon, he gets the Visa in his hand and is on his way home to you on Saturday

Chin up Cari, it really will not be long now

I hope that the next post from you is to give us good news Cari (L)

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

I-751 posted on 6th August 2009

Received on 7th August 2009 in VT

Cari, now you have all the time to have a few days' 'me' time. Go get a massage or a pedicure or soemthing you wouldn't have had time to do!!

I remember last time I flew to David, I was at the airport when they informed us that there was an air traffic controller's strike in God knows where....how'd it affect me? Well the plane scheduled to take me to London was grounded there when the strike happened. They sent another plane for us (from I dunno, btw) but it was half the size of the original one. So BA just thought it'd be a first come first serve dealio. I wish they'd have called me when they knew all this...cos David started driving from Co Durham (!!!) down to london already (I like me a direct flight only btw), and was like halfway down when the chit hit the fan. I coulda just stayed at home & called Dave and told him to not bother driving yet.

So what'd they do? They offered me a bus ticket from Orlando to Atlanta (5-6 hours by car) and then whenever we got there, we'd stay overnight in a hotel & then fly out two days later. I'mm like 'hellll no' Me & busses? HELL TO THE NO!

I wound up coming home and flying out 5 days later. It was REALLY sucky but the cool thing was, I was still home...the pressure of my last minute packing was over...and I had a helluva time with my family just 'killin time'

So hopefully, you can do something cool before Sat!!!!

Are you being charged for the change?

Thats a great idea Lisa except I already did all that on Monday lol... I figured I would work today and tomorrow and then take the extra days when they actually got here... I'll take Friday off and do a couple of things ... like sleep cuz god knows I need it..

and YES the airline is charging for changing the tickets but my friend's niece works for Air India and we trying to get a hold of her to see if she can refund the money or something. If not we going after the courier company for reimbursement since the Embassy is a lost cause...
