Totally Need Your Support Guys

Hi everyone...

So the courier was supposed to deliver Crash's corrected visa this morning but didn't show up. They called yesterday and said they would be coming today. So when they didn't turn up he called the courier service and was told no, they coming tomorrow. Crash said erm no i'm flying out tomorrow you said you were coming today. So he's been on the phone with them on and off trying to work out how to get the visa from them. I'm a complete and total wreck and don't know what to do with myself. I know - worse case scenario he flys out on Thursday instead but uggggh I don't want another day without my husband!! I just don't know what to do to calm myself down much less calm Crash down. So here I am.. surrounding myself with the people who I turn to when things are hard... God this suks soooo much... Thanks for letting me rant (again)..

First, have a nice deep breath.

Then, understand that there is only so much that you can control in this world. Seems like no one knows how to do a proper job-which sucks !

In a few hours, everything will be sorted. Right now, you have some crazy thoughts going through your head as this is a very emotional time. Do not forget that you will have your boys here soon enough, and regardless of whether it is today, or tomorrow-he WILL have his visa and be home by Friday at the very latest...

Breathe girl. It WILL work itself out. Next week at this time, none of this will matter...

What's one more day after you've been waiting this long? Surely IF he doesn't get it, the airline would let him change days without penalty (most of them do - what airline is he on?).

i was in the same situation except the visa came the morning before i left. not sure what he can do. the airline could possibly charge him extra to change his flight days, but then whos responsible for that? him or the courrier? the courrier will no doubt say no, not our fault.

Hi Cari,

I know that you're not only trying to calm yourself down but Crash as well... there's not much you can do at this point, so if it's going to be an extra day, go find something to keep yourself busy... clean out a closet or something... is there anything that still needs to be done to prep for their arrival?? That will help keep your mind off of the disappointment...

Thanks guys... I'll try to answer some questions:

No he cant go to their depot because its a security risk. No one can no where the depot is because of the classified documents that go thru there (which makes sense on a normal day I suppose but today is bs to me lol). Anyway we found out that the courier has the visa in hand. However he is presently in Northhampton which is about 100 miles from where Crash is. So we still "patiently" waiting to see if they will be able to deliver it to him today. If yes then he still will be able to drive to his dads in Sussex where he was planning on spending the night before going to Heathrow.

They are flying on Air India which had the cheapest direct flight to JFK. Thankfully a friend in my office building has a niece that works for them in Heathrow and gave us her number. Once Crash has a better idea about the visa situation he will call her and see if she might be able to put them on a flight for Thursday without extra cost or at a cheap cost or something. At least we have a contact with the airline if we need it and not just some customer service person.

I do appreciate all the good thoughts guys and yes I know that in a weeks time or even by this weekend when we holding each other none of this will matter. Its just sooo hard at the moment not knowing whats going on. Like we at the mercy of everyone else.

As for stress.. we both f'd up. I feel like everything I say to him is the wrong thing right now and I feel so useless not being able to do anything. I just want to cry. Have no clue how I'm getting any work done. Speaking of which theres the boss who wants me...

It sounds like you have everything under control. Relax, hon...no one's shooting at you!

Why cry? Look at how many people are still apart from their honeys with no end in sight. You are one of the lucky ones! Worst case scenario, you'll see him in two days' time. Surely that's nowt to cry over?
