and then the conditioner that came with the hair colouring smelled like coconut too... mmmm

a few years ago I splurged on some of that fancy shampoo at the hair salon it smelled like coconut.. I loved it ...

Hey everyone.

Quite a discussion going on.

I am finally eating lunch, my blood sugar level was feeling so low. I didn't get a chance to eat til now.

Marilyn I also want to be/am a housewife and stay at home mom. I think what matters is that you are happy with what you choose to do. If it makes you happy to take care of your hubby a certain way, then that's good. I agree with others who said something like it's understandable why you might get those feelings away from your hubby sometimes. I know you haven't been able to meet many people but it would be good to have some friends there. I know a lot of ppl on VJ are moving to a new place with no friends and either don't have a great time with their SO's friends, or the SO doesn't seem to have any friends around either. That must be extremely hard, I can't really imagine it. I have a lot of friends here and Sujeet has become friends with them too. I would go bonkers if I moved somewhere new, had no friends or my SO didn't have any friends I could hang out with while he was at work all the time.

I think I am very blessed or something (not that others aren't too!) b/c even though I don't work there certain things that Sujeet does for himself. He's not the typical man I guess, he doesn't moan and groan about much of anything. Things he was used to doing while living alone in India and he still wants to do them here, even though he works. He helps me when I need help. He helps even when I don't want him to. I now have a baby to take care of all day so I also work, just not in the same way. And while he has to only worry about getting his own work done while at an office, I take care of the house, myself, and another person all day. So he doesn't think I should be the only one on weekends or nights taking care of the baby or him or house. I have heard of some cases where after a baby is born, the husband is jealous and feels neglected by the wife since he was her "baby" first. Well I think that thinking is weird, the husband should be just as happy as the wife about the new baby and share in care of the baby when he can so he can bond just as much as mom(well, or at least try to). Then it's not a "oh she is neglecting me for the baby, she's supposed to take care of ME" thing, but "oh look how good of a mom she is and look at our baby, I want to be a good dad too". I know that's a different topic but it's something that irks me.

I just got off the phone with my wife. She helpfully suggested that since I am home (the fact that I'm sick elicited no sympathy at all :() I should go clean the showers or something :(

haha...did she really?

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

what do you do with the oil?.. put in on after washing you hair or during???

I put a bit on my hair -long, very long- last night; put shower cap and went to bed. Showered this morning and voila. Pretty.

Only caveat was Bren's face... the most ####### IS THAT ON YOUR HEAD moment, ever

I use it as lotion. You can just buy it at the store by the cooking oil. I sit it in a sink of warm water while I'm in the shower and then it softens up a bit so it's easier to put on. It is awesome!

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.
