hmm, I am trying to figure out these health insurance forms still.... I think I got the medical ones figured out now it is on to the dental/vision one.. seems the form they gave us to fill out is a little outdated seeing as how the company listed on the form merged with another company about 2 years ago...

so of course the plans listed on the form are no longer applicable...

Holy cow, the entire county is floodded! They just closed off of the main road across the corner going uptown and started to evacuate people. We are getting all the rain from Fay, I have never seen this much rain before in my life. I am amazed! They even advised for people not to leave the house in the next two hours, that is crazy!

Last night I went on a really good shopping spree, Pedro and I bought some awesome decorational items - an olive green big Chinese porrcellaine lion, new bed sheets in a beautiful warm darker red, a red lamp for the bedroom (not as dodgy as it may sound), a toaster (no more soggy waffels ), a new set of dishes and glasses and on and on. I bought a lovely cardigan at J. Crew - oh how I love their stuff, it is just exactly my thing! I felt like buying everything there!

Afterwards we had dinner at Red Robin's. For free actually. I had a lovely burger and when I was halfway through I bit on something really hard and chipped a bit of one of my front teeth! I didn't spit it out though, to see what it was, I just swallowed it. Pedro made me tell the waitress and she told the manager and what followed was a round of submissive shake hands and freaked out faces. They ended up giving us our meals for free.

I am having such a good time.

omg took me like 45 min to get to work.. there's roads blocked everywhere.. I didn't know charlotte could actually get flooded too.. interesting.. certainly will be a short day again

I need gumboots! I really enjoy crazy weather. As long as no people get harmed, I think it's great. The rain here was even worse than back in Melbourne, when you get those flood rains, can you imagine? Outside we have this warm tropical mugginess now, it's about 26 degrees and aout 98% humidity!

The tooth is just a wee bit chipped luckily. I wonder what was in the burger - darn, I shouldn't have just swallowed it!

Is John as decoration challenged as Pedro? Does he live in a house or an apartment? We decided to go for olive green, dark red and brown as colours for this apartment - I think the colours suit Pedro well. Since I don't live here, I don't want to change this into a girly palce. Just a nice, grown up, warm and comfy man home.

It's 7:37am over here and I am cooking bolognese sauce because I am bored! I just chucked about half a bottle of habanero sauce into the sauce to spice it up a little.

John took over his Grandparents house. There are two houses on the farm. It was originally built around 150(???) years ago as a barn (a little barn) and then converted. 3 bedrooms lots to play with.

He often says to me it was good enough for my grandmother why isn't it good enough for you. He only says that cause he doesn't like painting and it desperately needs a colour change. His grandmother painted the entire house undercoat pink. (Imagine pale peptobismal)

Well the entire house with the exception of the kitchen and bathroom which were screaming queen teal green. However once I washed the walls down it would almost blind you when the sun shone on it.

I personally think John is decoration challenged. He would disagree. So I can't wait till I'm allowed to stamp my own style on the house.
