Ms Squirrel, is your avatar from the photo set a photographer did with miniature cameras (most of which actually functioned) in his garden? Those were so terribly cool...

No, Pedro made that one for me. It actually holds my camera model in it's claws...I take tons of photos and flickr them, so Pedro created a almost authentic looking Ms. Squirrel in Photoshop :luv:

How are you, Rach? Excited about your interview yet??

Ooh! Well, you did an excellent job, Pedroh. The avatar always makes me smile!

Excited...not quite yet! Too exhausted from moving, and not looking forward to having to get rid of even more stuff. :dead: It's not quite believable, yet. I'm procrastinating and putting off all sorts of things I ought to be doing in preparation for moving to the US.

How are things with you? And everyone else? And a good afternoon to all!

Ooooh but I did go to a (very expensive) Japanese restaurant last night and had my first taste of teppenyaki and shasami

We sat around two hotplates watching our chefs as they juggled eggs and pepper shakers and generally set alight to things (steak, our desserts, purposefully, of course!)

I want to go get a haircut today... but the place I have been to a few times is about 20 to 30 minutes away... but every time I go there they do a great job and it only costs about 25 to 30 bucks and they wash your hair, cut it and blow dry it...

I don't know any place around here that is reasonably priced and will do a good job.. I don't want to go to Magic Cuts or Fantastic Sams .. ugh....

yeah that is what I was thinking... it prolly still will be cheaper to go to the other place even though it is farther.. no way am I going to go through 15 to 30 dollars worth of gas going there and back :P

I always get a different stylist at that place but I have always gotten a awesome hair cut each time...

 Truly great hairdressers are like gold dust!

Nessa - it was most delicious! There was an amazing sauce to go with the lobster and the steak was flash-friend in an awesome teriyaki coating. My meal was $60 but I felt it was worth it (it's also going to be the most I spend on a meal out all year - I really can't afford to eat like that regularly, of course!)

we went once in KC. It was really good, we both enjoyed. What I dislike about going to restaurants like that, is that's a 30-40 min trip just to eat, you know? So we rarely go.

Marilyn, I also think you should go to the hairdresser you always go to. Hair is nothing to mess with. :P

As for Japanese food, or rather Sushi/Sashimi, I just recently had to stomach twisting sashimi experiences, so I think I am over it for a while. I am going through a vindaloo phase at the moment...third night in a row.
