Yeah we have central a/c. It didn't get hot inside because it was so dark and cloudy outside.

We lose power once in awhile in the summer due to heavy thunderstorms and lightning. It hasn't happened in this house for over a year. Usually the power company is fast about repairing whatever went wrong, shorted, or got struck by lightning. We have strong summer storms here, besides hurricanes lol, that will flare up and be bad for a couple hours and then go away. Right now it looks normal outside again. When my family moved here from NYC(I was too little to remember much) they were freaked out by the storms at first. But after living here it seems normal. When Sujeet moved here he was freaked out too, especially by the lightning.

A holiday house in the mountains sounds cozy!

We have been hoping for a thunderstorm for the past days - but nothing. It's hot hot hot.

My Mom gets really scared by thunderstorms when she is outside. Last winter, we took a walk and after 5 minutes it started raining and a thunderstorm came up with thunder, lightening and even hail. I don't think I have ever seem my Mom this scared before. We tried to walk home fast, but because of her chemo side effects fast walking is just not on. She was really scared to get struck by a lightening, she was even whining. We came back home, totally soaked and with majoy brain freeze, since we had the hail and icy cold rain pouring on our heads! Poor Mom, I felt really helpless. Now we laugh at the story, but at the time it was pretty bad.

Our little house was so cosy and I have great memories (although some also involve my Dad). We celebrated Christmas there a few times and it was snowy and Mom had decorated the house just wonderfully. It had a beautiful big veranda, which we had changed into a big extra room with sliding glass door with a fireplace and a beautiful view over the valley. The little village only had 365 citizen and had no supermarket or any kind of shop. We didn't have a car back then and would hike 5kms to the next village to go grocery shopping. Good times.

Wow, I just digged through my photo box and I could not find a picture of the actual house, but one of the garden and one of the living room. I took photos of the photos.

Easter at our garden, probably 1985 - we spent the easter weekend with two befriended Greek families and had a big lamb roast. I still remember it like it was yesterday. In thback you can see the bedroom windows - left next to it was the glass veranda with the fireplace.

That is a picture of my friend Anna and me on the sofa in the livingroom of our little house. Someone should have told us off for sucking our thumps!!

And since I was browsing though all the pics, I found a few pics of me as a child. Here isone.

Angry me
