... the day we got home from our honeymoon the 2nd hurricane since Suj's arrival harassed us, lol.

:dead:

At least it was weak when it crossed our area.

Once in awhile I think about it and can't believe it. I know I've told the story on here a couple times that the day after Suj arrived Hurricane Frances came(thankfully weak in our area too!) and knocked out electricity for about 2 days. It was crazy, but it also was extremely fun. I think that it was totally meant to be. Suj bonded with my family and we had nothing to do but stay in the house, talk, play games, and cook on the grill in the back porch while it was really windy and rainy.

Then after our honeymoon was Jeanne(sp?). We went to Kennedy Space Center on the way home from St Augustine and it said everywhere that at the end of the day NASA would be closing due to hurricane Jeanne. So the next day when we got home it started coming to our area that night. No electricity lost, yay!

One more thing was that Hurricane Charlie almost ruined my bridal shower! We canceled it due to some flooding in the area where my shower would be b/c Charlie happened the day before, but then decided to tough it out and have the shower anyway. Those hurricanes tried to ruin my marriage plans!! Our wedding weekend was one of the only in a month or so without any hurricanes nearby!

Yay, for your guests being there.

Nothing except some concepts are just lost on Javi and it infuriates me. I mean honestly, the concept of having a job, albeit not the one you want, but still having a job is just over his head. He'd rather sit at home with nothing to do than get a job doing something he doesn't exactly want to do just to be making some money. Which is totally not like him because he loves to work. He just gets in these funks and it drives me insane!

Ah. I see. I wonder what causes the funks? Hang in there, Booty! (F)

Well it's more that he gets these ideas in his head and won't take anything other than what he has envisioned. He's decided after doing his own thing for 6 months that he wants a good stable job. Well, I tried to tell him 6 months ago when he got laid off to get a stable job. He had the idea he'd do it on his own so that's what he did. Now that he's decided he wants a stable job he won't take anything else. He's done good these past 6 months on his own but it's getting harder the worse the economy gets. Plus, I think now that we've decided to have a baby he wants to know the money is going to be there. I can't fault him for that. What irritates me is he doesn't seem to want to work any here and there jobs until that stable one comes along. Whatever! It'll all work out, it always does.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

I never had a job where I could really go online...I worked near computers sometimes but there was no way I could go on the internet except to quickly check email. My last job was with kids, no computer around. I'd like some of the jobs that VJers have that they are able to still post all day. Are the jobs easy? or not much to do? Or you get it all done super fast? Or what? I want to know. :D

I know my posting time has increased again the past couple months after I got more used to mom duties. And while he's napping or interested in a certain toy I post, and post in between activities.

I have told this story before, but it fits here too :P

Hurricanes tried to ruin my wedding as well! We were booked on Key West for the wedding. We had started our "destination trip" a few days earlier - spending time in Naples. The last day we were in Naples - Rita was heading to the Keys and we received a call from our hotel that we would not be allowed on the island (armed guards, etc do not allow tourists on when there is a storm threat.)

I contacted my photographer who was evacuating, who contacted our officiant to plan where we could all meetup. They stated they would go to Ft Lauderdale, so there we went! We stopped at Publix (grocery store) and picked up some flowers and I wound up making my own bouquet (pictured below). What we wound up getting was the best suite in the hotel as our room was still booked due to the hurricane (they cannot make guests leave if flights are cancelled, etc). Our photographer did say this location was much more picturesque that what we would have gotten in the keys. Aside from it being BLAZING hot in our wedding attire - it was really lovely.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
