This really sucks.

I hate this.

the paperwork?

Yes. It's a PITA. I have no idea where my tax forms are for 2005 so I have no idea how much money I made. GAH. I want everything filled out, photocopied, and in the envelope awaiting our certified marriage license so we can mail it on the 4th right after we pick up said marriage license.

Len, sorry you feel yucky.

I'm hungry and have no idea what to cook for dinner. I could make chicken stir fry but I want something completely unhealthy tonight.

We had awesome pad thai the other night but it was super spicy.

Didn't Rosanne run a sloppy joe's restaurant?

I have never tried it, because we don't have it here. But I love minced meat, so it sounds like a goer for me.

this is my recipe, well the one my mom always makes..

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon chili powder

2 tablespoons flour

1 1/4 cups water

1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/3 cup ketchup

1 teaspoon brown sugar

Cook beef and onion until beef is no longer red. While this is cooking mix all the spices together and have the water ready. Mix in the spices and the flour into the cooked meat and stir just until mixed and then add the water and do some more stirring and then add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer for about 20 minutes. Serve over toasted buns..

Dude. Go to Cedars (U District) and pig on the best city's falafel. Or to Aladdin's for Greek fries. YUM.

I can't remember if she did or not. Is minced meat what we call ground beef?

yeah I think so...

Are you feeling better?

Yeah I'm better. I had strep throat and couldn't eat or drink anything for about 3 days but now I'm just doing that by choice. I thought that while I was already doing that I could just keep going and so far it's working. I lost 7 lbs in a week.

jundp-Yeah the forms and stuff is a pain. But at least you are together while you are filling out more annoying paperwork! :P That's what I have to remind myself of. Thankfully we are done with US paperwork for awhile, not sure if or when Sujeet will file for naturalization. We do have to fill out some annoying paperwork for Indian related things for me and Kavi to visit there though.

When I make something up myself, I never use exact measurements. So then it's hard if I have to tell someone the recipe if they liked it. I'm like, ok a dash of this, a sprinkle of that, a bunch of this...:P I don't follow recipes to a T either unless it's for baking which seems more specific. Sometimes I follow a recipe and want more things added so I just experiment. If I have to, I try to be more precise telling someone a recipe for something I made.

Marilyn-Do you have a collection of the recipes from your mom and other sources? You always have them ready to post. That's cool!
