SLEC's delaying my journey

Hi shes just to give you the short story of my SLEC experience.

Timeline ko sa SLEC:

May 30, 2008, FRIDAY- First day, X-ray, Physical exam by the doctor, blood test

June 1, 2008, SUNDAY- I went to Asian Eye Institute where I am having my medications about my disease to get Medical Certification, got it the same day.

**I did not return June 2 to SLEC because I went back to province.*****

June 3, 2008, TUESDAY 10:30 am- I returned sa SLEC dala ko yung medical cert from AEI, interview at the Immunization area on my request not to get vaccine even after I deliver my child, I requested not to get any future vaccine!

June 3, 2008, TUESDAY 3:00 pm- Got the X-ray film and vaccine sheet (I passed the medical exam).

sinabihan ka din ba after your 1st day medical exam na u can come back anytime basta hawak mo na yung med certificate?

kase yun sabi sakin..medyo parang napaparanoid ako..iniisip ko na ok lang ba sa st. lukes talaga na hindi agad makabalik "the following day" para ibigay yung request na med certificate.

OO ganun din ang sinabi sa akin, balik ako once na hawak ko na or na produce ko na ang exact word nya ang aking medical certificate.

Don't be pissed, in God's perfect time you will be cleared medically

Sheesh i don't know where to start, I'm just sooooooooo pi$$ed right now....

I had my medical last July 3, first day and had to come back on July 7 for my physical exam coz i was having my period on my first day. Then the examiner saw my scar near my wrist and thought i tried to kill myself so she put me on a psyche test that they scheduled four days later (earliest available date). I guess they only have ONE psychiatrist!!! I got so pi$$ed that i needed to pay another 1K for an evaluation i don't need since i got that scar when i slipped my hand on a sharp rock, and another on my toe while swimming in Batangas TEN years ago. So i took the test still with no contest just so i'd be cleared of whatever issue they have regarding my mental ability. After the test (20 mins for 1K imagine that!) I was told that I still need to wait 2 to 3 working days for the result and i don't need to worry (haller my interview was set to take place on JULY 18!!!) . The doctor said that without even telling me that she will have a CONVENTION to attend to THIS WEEK!!! So long and short of it, I was just told to call on MONDAY for my result since the freaking CONVENTION will end on July 18 and that they will be the one to reschedule my interview...now how was that for me?????? My fiance was so pissed that his laptop fell while we're chatting! He asked me to get all infos...doctor's cellphone...email...contact number and am definitely gonna go there today!!! Haay we had been waiting for so long for our case to get approved then SLEC found a GOOD REASON TO DELAY US....and that's all for the sake of a CONVENTION they wouldn't mention before!!!! Really need your advise guys.......

In my case, I was referred to their surgeon for further evaluation. The MD who did my PE didn't even bothered to ask for the results of my thyroid function tests. The surgeon just palpated my neck, didn't also asked for the results of my thyroid tests.

theyre all ryt. patience and just kip moving forward, trust God. i had my 1st medical exam 2day ( i just got home) the physical exam doctor palpated the lump on my left side of neck and i told her i undergone biopsy for it a month ago but didnt bering the result, the result was ok but she requested for the medical certificate from the doctor who did the biopsy.

i suppose to go back to st. lukes 2mrw, but i wont yet cus i still need to request for the medical certificate from the doctor. they told me i can go back any day as long as i have the request of the doctor.

btw, anybody here encountered the same thing? didnt go to st lukes the following day for some reason and instead went back there few days after ur first medical exam?

oh i see! thats gud. what was in ur neck tho? if its a thryroid related i dont think theres a lump but ur neck looks bigger.

so if they didnt ask u anything, wat happened next to that?

My neck doesn't look big, big round eyes lang po ako with thick lashes! ehehehe.. The surgeon cleared me, it was just adipose tissue. But I had to wait for 4 hours just to have the surgeon palpate my neck! uminit pwet ko sa kaka antay kakainis! I'm thankful though na wala me problema sa thyroid

thats gud..ok lang kahit umipit pwet mo, clear ka naman na sa medical mo. ako, im feeling down right now. i went to my doctor who did my needle biopsy last month and when i showed him the request of the medical certificate from st. lukes that mentions its part of the visa application. he told me, i need to have it excised for my own sake cus he said it might grow and if im already in the sates it will cost me a lot more to have it removed. i just hope that the medical certificate he'll made after the minor surgery il go through will make me pass the medical exam at SLEC and be able to go to my aug 28 interview.

i didnt think that with just a lump palpated during my medical exam would cause me a bit of delay, instead of finishing the medical exam last friday..i still need to undergo a minor surgery and have the lump examined...

pls include me in ur prayers guys..

btw, does the medical exam expires? for how long is it valid?

TAKE NOTE!

For all you pinay that haven't done their medical. Have your SLEC medical as early as possible. My wife and anak took theirs almost 2 months early. Plus they had HIV and TB test at a private clinic about 6 months before the estimated interview date.

Wow, it seems like your fiance and I have the same case here...But how come she needs to see the doctor again? I just called yesterday and checked for the results but still with no luck, the doctor hasn't given any result yet and was told to call early Wednesday and if so I passed then i can have my vaccine that day too so I can have a July 28 interview at the embassy. We really need to be patient...It's a virtue really hehehehe

yes patience and faith are all we can hold on during these times. i hope all of us will be able to pass the medical exam and also to be completely healthy.

after all, God always works for whats best for us. il have my minor operation on thursday. guys, include me in ur prayers. im praying that everything will just be ok and that i'll be able to go to my Aug 28 interview.

I had HIV and all of the blood test at St. Luke's Hospital main at Cubao a month ago before my medical appointment, but SLEC won't accept my results..I thought those test are accepatable to them that I would not have to undergo another testings.

Did they accept the testings you got from the other clinic?

same with maibels TB. she had TB in 04 and was treated for 6months and has Xrays and Dr notes saying she is okay, but the only thing that counts is from the SLEC. we knew it would be a 2 month delays but hoped for the best. which is we are only going to delayed 8 weeks, hopefully no doc ver delays. she did call last night, the 8week mark, they told her nothing yet to cll back on the 29th. so no news is good new, nothing is growing
