I know it requests that 6 months of paystubs are sent, but my husband is unable to get these. Is it imperative that 6 months are sent or will a few months suffice? Also, as I am sending in a copy of the forms for my daughter do I also need to send copies of the tax returns, employment letter etc too?

Thanks guys.

The I-864 guideline (I-864.pdf) in page 7 says "You may also provide your pay stub(s) showing your income in the previous six months"

As you can see the wording 'may' and stub(s). It means that your husband should provide them his most recent pay stub(s) if he can.

3 or 4 recent pay stubs are acceptable.

I recommend you look into this link : http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Jame%27s_Shortcut

Pay attention to section 2 I-864, it advises to submit 3 most recent pay stubs.

Make sure to use I-864 cover letter : http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/I-864_Cover_letter

It can be served as checklist for you. I hope it helps. Good luck

Oh, I forgot your question regarding your daughter. I'm not sure. By common sense, we should send one set of those supports documents (tax return, pay stubs, employment letter etc..) for you & her together. But who knows. For safe, send an extra copy set of supports documents.

I won't do any harm.

I sent in an employment letter. I didn't send any paystubs because when I spoke to a rep she said that you can send in a letter or have the most recent pay stub. The paystub can be at the very least the most recent; one only. Hope that helps. With this application, I called them everyday so that I won't receive any rfe. I am waiting for their reply. I sent it out yesterday and they received it today. Hope that helps.
