Timeline

Hi all,

After waiting 90 days for my EAD I made a infopass appointment and was granted a 6 month EAD. Now I have a month left on the card and need to get a new one.

Can I still claim for the 6 months they owe me or do I have to pay the fee all over again.

Thanks

John

John,

Firstly a timeline would be helpful to aid people who may wish to respond to your question.

That aside I'm a little confused by the details you have given. Are you saying that you applied for an EAD alongside your AOS application and that 90 days after your NOA date you went to your local office where they issued you an interim EAD valid for 6 months ??

If what I've said above is correct are you also saying that you have now worked on that interim EAD for around 5 months and you have still not received either the EAD you originally applied for OR your conditional residency card ??

If all of the above statements are true then you really need to look into getting a congressman or woman to look into your case. Although Conditonal residency as a result of a successful AOS interview may well take 5+ months to come around, if you applied for an EAD at the same time as you applied for AOS, there is no way that an EAD should take 90 days plus another 5 months.

If I've mis-understood the details or have overlooked something glaringly obvious then please fill in the blanks. However, if I'm right in my assumptions then you have either been VERY unlucky or something has gone very wrong with your applications.

As I said at the start of my post, some timeline details would help people follow where you are at in your process.

Mark :)
