I need some advice on how to get my IIN from NVC when I call. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong but when I call and press 5 (to speak with an agent), I am told (by the automated system) that no agent is available and there will be a slight wait. I am fine with that but then after a minute of waiting, it repeats the same thing again (in spanish) and then kicks me back into the automated system (the same menu options that you hear when you first make a call to NVC). I press 5 again, I hear the same message that no agent is available and then it tells me to call again later and hangs up the phone on me. My question is..... Is there a way that I can call NVC and wait on the line until an agent is available (I don't mind doing that!) instead of calling over and over again?

I knew this process wasn't easy, but man o man!!!!!

2008-01-30: I-130 Sent

I always got through when I called them at 7:30 a.m. sharp but got kind of nasty, grumpy agents. Then I started calling at 11:30 p.m. and saw that the agents were a lot nicer and more helpful. You will never get to speak to an agent if you call in the middle of the day. Oh, and remember that those times are Eastern Standard.
