proving domicile ?

hi there guyz i would like to ask since my case is completed july 14th 2008 in NVC.. would the domicile still an issue? for my husband interview? actually i been here in the philippines since 2005 then i came back to california 2007. after 4 months i went back to the philippines again. and its been 6 months now. going back to california on oct 2008 please advice thanks

good morning sir, does it have to do anything for my husband interview? since im out of the country for 2 years? i filed the petition in california services while im back to california for 4 months. i have a bank account and i renew my california driver license last year. for my husband choice of agent. my husband assigned me to be the choice of agent and all documents send to my US address.thank you so much

hi there lostgurl18 i have the 2005 copy of my w2's if in not mistaken. or the copy of my tax return for 2005. but i filed it last year 2007. is that ok? i have my driver license renewed last year as well. my sister have a pre-paid cellphone under my name... and i believe our landline in california is under my name as well... i opened a bank account last year too. please advice me what else do i need to indicates to my husband interview thanks and godbless you,.

You wont have a problem if you show them your phone bills records, voting record if there is, bank account, proof of sustained income or job offer or certificate of employment with letter head. And the most importand is the residence on you name. My husband needs to prove his domicile too because he've been here in PI for 5 years. In your case its different, you have a lot of documents to show them that you have domicile and give them a valid reason why you stay here in PI for that period of time.

get as many records as you like to prove domicile and good financial status..at leave above poverty guideline..yes teena is right voting is is also an identification. the mailing address, lease contract of ur house, properties..

i do not have my own property. and no income at all. my sister is my joint sponsor that why the petition is been approved. is that ok to have a prepaid cellphone but anytime i can print it. right now my sister is using it. and i believe our phone bill (landline in California) is under my name. do i need more proft? im about to register for vote registeration online but i believe u have to go to DMV to do the registration form.. thank you

im about to do the DCF before, but since im in US for 4 months i decided to file a petition there. no problem while im still back in the philippines. before i left in the US i talked to USCIS officer if i can stay in the philippines since the I-130 is still on process, the officer told me as long my mom or my sister inform me that i have a mail coming from USCIS and NVC it should be fine. as long i response to their email like asking some documents. like filling AOS DS230 etc. . After 11 months case approved. still waiting for my husband interview date.....

right now im still thinking about the domicile issue. since my husband is waiting for his interview date. they might ask him about my official permanent residency. so im thinking about preparing all the documents to my US address in my name... thank you guyz.

finally my husband interview will be on the 29th of sept next mon. and im still worrying about the prooft of domicile this is the list i have gathered.

1.my valid California License

2.prepaid cellphone under my name and it still active.

3. our landline in california is under my name as well

4.bank statement

5.my bank sent me a pin code for my atm to use. and it has my name on it and my address.

i can ask my sister for more letters or bill under my name so i can tell her to print it for me so i can show it to co's just in case they ask for it. any advice guys thanks a lot guys. goodluck and godbless

i don't know much about your case but allow me to share what happened to the IR petition of my fiance's brother. he married a girl here in PI and he moved here since December 2007 since his wife is a businesswoman. they are applying the petition just for the greencard then they will come back here to continue managing their business. anways the husband goes back and forth to US every 6 mos. Last Aug his wife was interviewed and I think their case was put on AR since the husband needs to go back to US, get a job and prove that he will be able to support his wife. his mother is their co-sponsor. yes the mother's income is way above the poverty line. anyway he is back is US and is currently working. i don't know if they require him to have an income that would meet the poverty line before they can issue his wife's visa.
