Thank you guys for all your wonderful words - as of right now Neetu "started" the process about 1 hr 30 min ago ... I was out with the family finalizing the photographer for the reception so I didn't get to think too much about it ...

Now I'm freaking out hoping to hear ASAP from her ...

I'll just tell myself that if there was a problem she woulda been told already and I'd have heard :)

Hoping to hear from her in about 2 - 3 hours ...

I don't know why I'm so damn nervous when it's really a "formality" LOL

I-751 Process -

5/24/10 : I-751 Packet sent to VSC

5/26/10 : Delivered to SAINT ALBANS VT 05479 @ 11:46am

5/27/10 : NOA1 Date (based on scanned check image)

5/28/10 : Funds withdrawn from bank account

6/04/10 : NOA1 (I-797) received, confirming above NOA1 receipt date.

7/31/10 : Biometrics letter received - Appointment date of 8/11/10!

8/11/10 : Biometrics done!

8/29/10 : GC received (sometime last week lol)! (WOW!)

1/06 : Married my JAAN :)

1/15 : I-130 and I-129F sent to Chicago Lockbox

1/17 : Both petitions received @ Chicago

2/27 : Check cashed & I-130 petition visible on system.

2/29 : Received NOA1's! Notice Date - 2/22/08

5/01 : I-130 APPROVED!!! (But not my I-129F)

5/08 : Got Case # from NVC (received 5/7/08)

5/11 : PAID AOS Fee Online -- I-129F still pending; full speed ahead with I-130!

5/12 : Neetu emailed NVC re: DS-3032 (choice of agent)

5/13 : AOS Status now "PAID" -- AOS PRIORITY MAILED

5/16 : NVC received AOS

5/19 : DS-3032 email accepted & AOS entered in system

5/24 : IV Bill Invoiced and paid online

5/28 : IV Bill status = PAID -- DS-230 EXPRESS MAILED!

Yeah maybe one day Rajee Jr will be in the picture, but for now I'm just focused on the interview.

I think you guys all have cool ideas of how to pass the time ... But, believe it or not, I'm gonna try to get some shut-eye ... I'm sleep deprived enough so I just may be able to do it! I fully expect to be awoken to hear good news!

If I can't sleep, I definitely have some movies I could watch on my DVR lol :)

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neetu called me up just a little while ago and told me the visa is APPROVED!

There were no issues at all ...

Here's a rough sketch of her process and more details will follow (All times in IST) -

6:30am Arrival at Embassy (preceded by waking up, doing paath [prayers], and going to gurudwara [temple] before going to Embassy)

7:00am Entrance into Embassy

7:10am DS230 signed/sworn to and fingerprinting done

8:15am First interview - basic questions but more "in depth" than second interview

9:30am Second interview - even more basic questions and Neetu was told she was APPROVED

She called me about 9:45am India time!!!

She told me that they didn't look at any pictures, email, or any other proof of any kind ... Just asked basic questions ...

Some of the questions (all quite basic):

Where did you first meet?

Was the marriage arranged or "love"?

Who attended the wedding from your husband's side?

Did your husband's sibling attend the wedding?

How many people attended the wedding?

What does your husband do in the USA?

Where does he live?

Do you know why your tourist visa was denied?

(Neetu answered because she was still single and that was her assumption as to why, given her age - the interviewer just said "Oh, this was before marriage? Okay...")

(The order of the above questions is mixed up because I'm not sure which interviewer asked which ones just yet)

I'll get you guys more details as I get them (tomorrow morning for me will be when I next speak with Neetu)...
