i won 20 bucks buying a lotto ticket in Virginia

I won 2 tickets to a Neil Diamond concert once. Being the hard core punker I was- I had no interest in Neil back then, but my mom and sister happily went. It was a radio contest and the question was how many bones were in the human head- being a hairstylist- I knew the answer.

I won a few breakfasts with the Eskimos (Edmonton football team)- also via radio.

I haven't won anything really substantial though. I am always wary of entering contests because I never know where my name and address will end up.

Edit to add- I won $250 at Harrahs a few months ago. It was a contest through my rewards card, not from actual gambling.

I won card games on several occasions and black jack at Atlantic City... maybe between $30.00 and $500.00

when I worked in LA the boss got tickets to the big events or award shows we catered. the week before they would draw names to see who got to go. the best part of that was that you didn't have to work the hellish hours preparing for the event. I got rose bowl tickets and I don't even like football

I have won a lot of small things since I was a kid from raffle drawings and entries into things. I don't think anything over $50 worth though. One of the last things I won was a movie ticket for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I could be wrong, I don't remember if I've won anything since then.

oh-I just won a couple things at a baby shower last weekend.

The last thing I remember winning was $200 gift card from my company's xmas party raffle.

Back in grade school I won a couple of contests where we were to guess how many beans were in a jar...and I won some art contests.

i won a 4 day trip for 2 to cancun. i won a jalapeño eating contest. 27 in 60 seconds in the qualifier. 3 weeks later 39 in 60 seconds in the finals.....you don't wanna hear about the next day.

I won gift certificate to Ale House and later on $50.00 from my company ruffles. Oh, and my fiance and I won one of those Million Wishes at Disney last year... It was only a cute busket of popcorn, but we got to feel the "Disney Magic" lol.
