congrats on the green card :)

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Awesome news on the Gravy!!!!!

I miss good produce - i'm sure there are other areas in the US that have better produce, but honestly , i'm so desperately tired of having to pick though the ENTIRE bin of produce to find once piece of fruit that is edible. It's beyond me why in PEI we had beautiful produce seemingly all year round, where in CT there's like NOTHING that looks appealing to me, unless it's covered in wax *yelk*

Welcome back Nancy and congrats on the green card.

The produce here in Florida, well I can't speak for the whole state  - seems to be rather tasty and fresh!

Although, our local Albertsons carries english cucumbers from Ontario and I saw some other Canadian produce the other day too!

Yep same here, the CDN stuff seems to be nicer.. perhaps I go to all the getto grocery stores here.. I can't afford to go to stores like "Big Y".. but it does seem no matter where I go I find bad produce.. OH to live in FL!
