hello everyone! My fiance (the USC) has been working as an operations manager for 11 months already.. we have his employer's letter and also bank statements, W2, which we need for the I-134. But the problem is, he's at the verge where he can no longer take the stress and pressure of his job and is on the hunt on finding a new job. He's a USC by birth but stayed in the Philippines for 21 years; he has only been in the US for 1 year and 2 months but he can support me because he has passed the minimum income requirement for AOS.

Now my question is, would it affect us if he quits his job? What would happen to our papers then if he'll work for another company? Does it need to be changed? Our case has been approved and is already at the embassy last march. We're expecting our interview this august (PLS LORD!) I'm afraid it would look like he's unstable because he's only lived there for a year. What would be the best thing to do?

I'd recommend not quitting the job before you find another one to replace it... immigration is more concerned with the dollar amount he makes in the year, not whether he quits one job and starts another.. however... if he quits, and then has long periods of unemployment, and does that over and over again in cycles... the instability *may* be questioned.

I agree, unless he has another job to go to, do not quit! It will not look good, especially in the stability in being able to provide for you once you arrive.

If he has a job lined up right away, and it meets the requirements, it should be fine. Stuff in life happens right? But i mean if he goes through like, 3 jobs from till august, that could raise a red flag.

You have a point.. I hope everything will work out. I'm also worried because i feel how his work is really stressing him out. I'm also helping him find a new job. But i will surely tell him both of your advices because ther were both good. I pray that we can find a better job for him soon before he loses the current one..

They don't really care how many jobs he has had as long as he HAS a job when you do your interview... if he changes jobs you just need to make sure that he fills out the affidavit of support with the information from the new employer.
