Good morning MENA :)

9 days until I go home

Now, if only I could get someone to do my packing, cleaning, rearranging of my apt, cleaning my car, etc etc done for me

Congratulations! That is wonderful. Good luck on all the preparations...that can be miserable - but you have a wonderful reason.:dance::thumbs::dance:

morning mena. Seems like I missed a lot here yesterday.

Hubby got a job that starts next monday and wouldn't you know he has two interviews today for two different jobs. If he gets either one he's going to decline the original one. Feast or famine around here I tell ya!!!!

4 more days till vacation!:dance::dance:

Jackie do you know of a cheap place I can get wall to wall carpeting in the Boston area? I was going to just go to Lowes or Home Depot this weekend but I remember people saying they're wicked expensive, though both are having a special on installation for $199 no matter how many rooms there are. I have two rooms that need new carpet, both in the girls rooms and both are normal 8 x 10 rooms. We were just going to rip up the carpet but the girls think the hardwood floors will be too cold for their tootsies in the winter.

I'm so nervous for hubby!!!! I really really want him to get the one that he's going to tonight because it's a very good opportunity for growth and it's been named one of the top 100 companies to work for in America. The pay at first will probably be icky but in the longrun it will pay off inshallah.

Have a great one and I hope it's a peaceful day in here!

Good luck, Bridget - I hope your husband gets the job that will best use his talents, and where he feels that he can contribute the most to your marriage.

I'll be saying prayers...we all need them. :innocent:

Good morning MENA!!! Wow, my first visit to the site this am and there's already *3* pages of daily thread...... whoa!!! I had to go get an ingrown toenail dug out this morning. Who knew a tiny little piece of nail could hurt so bad - lesson to be learned: DO NOT CUT TOENAILS TOO SHORT OR ANGLED DOWN IN THE CORNERS!

Delivery #2 of furniture came this morning... looks like a party might be in order soon. whoooooooooooo!

I had that done a few years ago too and it pretty much sucked. I dont know how bad yours was but I had to soak my foot twice a day in hot water with epsom salt for like a week after and it really helped with the pain....

It is one year ago today that my ex took off his wedding ring and walked out the door. Alot can happen in a year. Lesson learned :

Wow, I can't believe a year has passed already. Time goes so fast when u have good friends. Jackie, shoot me an email or something and let me know how things are going. We haven't talked in like, forever. Mabrookulations on the new job and totally go for the red! OH, and love the hair!!!

I'm not very happy right now coz I just realized that I won't be able to go to mosque this Friday. I enjoyed the last 2 weeks so much that I can't wait to go again. My son is excited to go Saturday to learn more Arabic, Qura'an recitation, and Jujitsu classes!!! I need to do a search and see if there are any mosques near my work although I seriously doubt there are.

I want eggs..with olives....and zaatar......and labneh....with pita bread

Good morning peeps!

ME - I've had ingrown toe nails before and the pain....holy unbelievable! I feel for ya. I had to have one cut out on each big toe, but I've never had them again since that was done. Hope it gets better for ya. Nothing like foot pain or tooth pain.

And speaking of tooth pain, would you guys believe that I've got to have a root canal! I had to have some work on a restoration that fractured and the dentist said if I didn't, I would probably end up having to have a root canal. Well, after the 3 hours of work he did on my tooth trying to repair the restoration, he said it must have been too much stress on the root. I've had a massive earache and headache all weekend. The dentist gave me some pain meds to get me through until Thursday morning when they are going to do the root canal, but man...I'm ready for someone to just run over my head with their car just to stop the pain. AGH!

Jackie - definitely go with the red. That's my color when I want to "exude" my confidence.

Bridget - I hope that hubby gets the good job. I know once Hicham got the job he's doing now, it really changed his demeanor and has made him alot easier to get along with.

As far as what is going on with my in-laws, I will keep you posted once things get rolling. My FIL DID get his passport back from the German officials, but only when they were boarding the final plane to go home. The only thing written in his passport under the US entry is "Rejected". They did not write anything else. The attorney that we've been speaking to is only going to file for the Freedom of Information Act on his behalf (not mine) so that we can find out the reason for his removal. Once we get that, IF we get that, we'll go from there.

I do appreciate everyone contributing their thoughts and ideas, and I do mean everyone. It's alot of info to take in! I mostly appreciate all of the kind words of support. It really helps to know that some people are in your corner.

Love ya, MEAN IT!!!!!! :)

Thanks! :D

Have a good time at your reunion!! I went to my 10 year back in April and it was something. My biggest impression of the whole thing is that the girls still look fabulous and the boys were already balding with beer bellies.

I was talking to one of my co-workers about the reunion as he has gone to his recently. He said that he was convinced that the "ugly" people won't show up and by that he meant the people that knew they had changed alot. He's kind of an ####### to begin with.

I really am going to hook up with my two friends that I was closest with in high school. One of them I am still best friends with and we travel to see each other frequently. But the other has been in Japan the last several years.

I'm going down just by myself. No hubbie. No kid.

I'm QUITE certain that the three of us are going to be up ALL night!

Fun times, huh?

And isn't it something that usually it's no big deal if the guys have beer bellies? Somethings never change I guess.

oh i forgot all about teeth! My dad did a deep cleaning in all four quadrants of hubby's mouth so he was loaded with novacaine when we got home and omg it was hillarious!!! He had quite the lisp going on and the kids kept making him say "sally sold seashells by the seashore".:lol:

The best part was when we all played the cardgame bullshit. Each time he said it we were all :rofl::rofl:
