If you have been married longer than 3 months and have consumated the marriage...there is no annulment in your future. Each state has different rules about annulments. But usually if you've 'done the deed' what you would need is a divorce. Better to find out now that you are not his queen than after he gets here.

Araba, some relationships just weren't meant to be - and the immigration process will show you that in spades...I believe the strongest relationships survive, and even then people still have problems once they immigrate.

In my opinion, divorce/annulment is six of one - half dozen of the other...unless it is some type of pride thing, where you don't want to state you've been divorced, which for some I know that is the case. Pardon my ignorance, I know it matters if you're Catholic, but I'm not sure about other religions. In the realm of immigration, anytime you are divorced or annuled, USCIS will want you to declare it.

Sounds like a winner to me, dump him, divorce him. He doesn't want you to go to his country cause he is after a green card. I am so sorry for you, but get yourself a good lawyer and once again DUMP HIM.

but I do know the waiting can be very very difficult and usually doesnt bring out the best in anyone. good luck working it out in whatever way you decide is best. but I am not surprised if the 2 of you are having problems communicating long distance, probably online, because personally I cant really understand your postings hardly at all. I know my husband and I at the time we were apart had a lot of misunderstandings, maybe the root of your trouble is something like miscommunication?

That was one really long, really run-on statement w/ NO punctuation whatsoever....... It is a little difficult to decipher who's who. Good luck to you araba. As many have stated, marriage is a serious and sacred commitment. Perhaps you should step back and reassess your relationship.

my suggestion is take caps off lock and re read our post. It's hard when you're upset I understand, but it's even more difficult for those trying to help if they don't understand what is going on.

Just an FYI, my husband didn't want me to move to Morocco either now that he is in another country he is more than happy for me to live there with him. Morocco is a hard place to find good work at a good pay. I would ask him more about the whys? You two married for a reason maybe now is a good time to readress those reasons??

I find it very strange that your husband does not want to have you in Morroco. Why? It would seem natural that married people live together no matter where they are. At least in Morroco, it's his home and he would be more at ease with how things work there. Finding a job, living with the family or getting a small flat somewhere.

And if he comes here to USA, he does not want to live with you??????

Something is definately wrong and I would be suspicious. I hate to say this, but if he does not want you in Morroco (where everyone knows him) there may be some thing he is hiding.

My first husband was Tibetan refugee I met while I lived in India. He came over the base camp of Mount Everest to escape Tibet and was living in India. As a refugee in India, he tried hard to find AND FOUND employment. And when he came to USA he beat the streets to find work.

He was 8 years younger than me (he was 22 - I was 30). When we argued he could be immature. But he never shirked his responsibility as a husband.

Time out please. You both need to stop posting here on VJ (no offense intended) and please please go see a counsillor to help you work things out.

This is your life you are dealing with; i know that process is hard and i think it is by design so please go seek professional help to save your marriage.
