I used the guide found on this site to submit the I 129F. It really really helped. Thanks so much. I have already submitted it and found that is was received 06/24/08. I read several posts since and was happy to learn the meaning of what "touched" means and that several have been "touched" already. We've been touched twice already. I still have a few concerns. My fiance is from India. He is currently in Russia on a student visa that will soon expire.

#1 Since he is an Indian citizen, can he been seen at the consulate in Moscow?

#2 If he has to leave Russia before this is approved, what are our options?

#3 Has anybody dealt with the consulate in Russia? Estimated processing times?

#4 Should we experience an additional wait time because he is not currently residing in India?

Thanks so much for this site!!

1) Should be able to if still a legal resident. Did you indicate Moscow as your consulate of choice?

2) Request a consulate change to his new resident country

YMMV

1) Only if he is in Russia as a resident, you say his visa is soon to expire, so why not interview in home country. NOTE before leaving Russia, it would be good to get a police cert from Russia.

2) Get case transfered to home country, by contacting US embassy in Russia, or contacting DOS visa services. http://travel.state.gov/about/info/info_308.html#visa

3) Use the timelines. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list...ia&dfile=No

4) Not necessarily.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

He doesn't have to go back to India until Fall 2008. We were not sure what to do so we listed the country where he is currently living. We may be able to extend his visa there but not sure.

Thank you. Thank you.

based on current timelines my guess is that you are too late for "Fall 2008".... You are probably looking at December or later. Vermont is taking 4 mos. or so lately and then you have to deal with Moscow... Another 2-3 mos. minimum I would guess

YMMV
