Good afternoon everyone, today I will begin the process of proof reading my documents for the filing of the K3. The biggest concern I have at this time will be submitting documentations for proof of an on-going martial relationship. We got married in February of 2008 in JA, I have been back to JA only once so far after my wedding. I will be returning every three months going forth. Our orginal intent was that I would be traveling there every month, but the price of airfare has put a halt on that. I have two letters of affidavitso far, will I need more. We don't have any bills of expenses combined. I know this process will be very intrusive in my private life, this will be hard for me, but I must prepare myself for this. I have phone call bills, text messages, no e-mails( he doesn't like e-mailing), I will start writting letters(snail mail), plane tickets, some pictures. I don't like taking pictures.

On the I130 or I29 does it ask if your SO every applied for a visitor visa and been denied. I can't seem to find where this statement is being asked. Right now because I am stressing out on this I am ready to sell my house, quite job and go live in JA, but the common sense side of me says calm down and everything will go smooth.

I never went back to see my husband after we got married, only to go with him to the embassy. Also, I only sent a copy of our marriage certificate with 2 affidavits from my mom and sister and that was all that was needed to be approved at the USCIS. The gathered all the other evidence to bring with us to the interview and it included, tons of pictures, boarding passes of previous flights, e-mails, chats, letters, cards, etc.

I dont think much in terms of proof of relationship will be needed this early in the game. Especially since you are newly married. I don't hear people showing much stuff to USCIS for married couples as much as I see for engaged couples. Your avidavits will be fine. All I did was send in a couple photos and the un-official marriage cert.

"I don't like taking pictures"

I suggest you change your atitude as "A picture is worth a thousand words".

I was denied the first time mainly do to lack of pictures. Especially none with my ladys family!

They do ask if the appilcant has been denied a visa on the DS 156. Not on the DS 230 tho.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Thanks for your answers, as for not "liking to taking pictures" it's not an attitude issue. I'm sure we will have some pictures, as for being able to prove I have a relationsahip with my husband family, there are other ways I can prove that. I have become very close with my husband's mother and grandmother. We communicate on a weekly basic via phone and snail mail. Again thank you for your input.

Marlita, did you send in the photos with the I130? Also, will the USCIS accept documentation or avidavits from my husband side of the family as well? I know you have been waiting for the end of this journey to come and I have admired your patients. I hope I can be as patient as you have shown to be.

Thanks

The affidavits need to be from people who have actually seen you interact together. They can be anyone.

I understand what you are saying, RJ. But, I also think H has a point. You really need to make every effort if/when you visit in the future to take pictures. Make sure family members, friends, scenery, and other people are in those pictures.

Yes you can have advidavits from his family. Whomever you think knows the 2 of you best. I did include the pics with I-130. I basically puts some pictures on a word doc and printed that out. I didnt send them my actual photograph. You can just color copy your photos to a sheet of paper if you want.

I hope your journey is a quicker one. With the raising of fees and this high profile election, I just started at a very unfortunate time. I think most back log is contained now. At least at USCIS/NVC end.

Kishmar. this is needed your the K3 and CR1 I30 initial application, also for the interview process. Affadavits and pictures, since we don't have bills and finances combined. It won't be right to put him on my Health Insurance until he is here in the USA. So I won't be adding my husband to any of these documents (things) until here arrive here, so we need to have statements from other people confirming our relationship.

Kishmar, I hope all of our jouneys are smooth. I hope my SO and I weather thru this journey stronger and as deep in love as we are now. This will be our journey and maybe I should document it in a journal so when we are thru we can look back at all of the trails and triumphs. Like today when my baby is calling me because he is sick with a bad case of the flu. I want to be there to make him feel comfortable, but all I can offer is advise and comfort on the phone. I want to laugh because all men are like babies when they are sick, and cry because he needs me and I can't be there. :crying::crying:

Those who have there SO and husbands by for side, remember this is what you fought hard and patient for.

Roxcie,

The burden of proof lies with you. Don't worry about not visiting your husband frequently. With the weakened economy, it is totally understandable. From this point forward, keep every thing. It doesn't matter how insignificant. When your husband gets an interview, he has to prove that you two are an item. Also, I think that the CR-1 is way better than the K-3. Check out the pros and cons. See the link below-

Thank you very much for your thoughts and kind words. I will take all into considerations, I have been tossing between doing the K3 vs the CR1. What I do know is I want my husband here as soon as possible. But I too know I am now at someone else mercy. If the time periods of getting this process completed extends into our second year anniversary, I would definitely go with the CR1, so he can come in with a 10 year green card. We will be looking into our we can make this living in seperate countries work. My husband has stated moe than once, why don't I come and reside there while we are going thru this process, but I have my career inwhich I have invested such much into. Again, if there was even the small chance I could get a job there I would go. But I know that is not possible, so I have to spend my time waiting for small things to happen.

Thanks for being a friend
