A Forum for Personal Threads?

To me, alot of posters who participated like that just wanted to increase their post count just to get a cool rank and the majority of them in the threads are in the OFF TOPIC section.

what is the purpose of getting "rank" on VJ I thought people came here to be educated about how to proceed with there cases?????????

That's what I'm wondering. Take a look at some of the VJ's top poster's posts, they're interested in posting some news headlines that probably no one wants to read or has nothing to do with immigration. We have TVs and newspapers for news.

And some of us are done with immigration for now, but stay around to help newbies, if we want to post news articles then thats up to us, however, since we dont need to post a thousand threads on the same question, we hang out alot in OT, has nothing to do with post counting. If you dont like seeing all that OT #######, stay out of OT.

Also, this was a thread on making another forum for personal issues, not a thread on bashing older members.

I don't think having separate dedicated forums works. We've tried it before... Noone uses the forums...

Hmmmm, I dunno, I don't really think that's the problem. People who want to will find threads with potential for drama or with the potential to point out that the question is entirely too personal and not appropriate for VJ! wherever they are. The problem is with posters, not with location of posts IMO.
