Hi guys,

I need some clarification on this. I got my greencard a few months ago but need to change my address now, since we got stationed in Germany now.

I can't use the online form AR-11, because it won't give me the option to put in our APO (military) address.

So I called USCIS because I thought I could do it over the phone.

Well, the lady there said, I should print out the form, fill it out and then just mail it to USCIS.

So far so good.

Then she started telling me about form I-865, that my husband as petitioner would have to file. She said, since there is an affidavit of support in effect, he needs to do that.

Is that correct?

I just don't want to miss out on anything but at the same time I don't want to do any extra work right now when it comes to USCIS..lol

Still don't have Internet connection at home, so I have to use public computers whenever I get to one, so bare with me if I can't reply right away to your answers, but I appreciate all of them!!!!!

As soon as I have everything set up at home, I promise I will be back more frequently...

THANKS!!!!

Nadine & Kenneth

Yes, this correct, Resident Alien must file AR-11 any time they change address, and US Citizen/Spouse/Sponsor must also file I-865 anytime they move.
