It's really discouraging to see tactless posts in a thread where a VJ member is seeking advice and support. Remember there are real people behind these personal posts. Just my two cents.

Lighten up, dude. If you put yourself "out there" you get the good with the bad.

If someone only wants good, they should limit their venting to a controlled situation like a counseling session.

word.

now what should I do about this rash?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I just think that sometimes it's easy to forget that it's real people behind those personal posts with real issues.

I will never dare post my personal problems on a forum and what ever other forms epically has to do with money situations.

Thank you Steven.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Sorry, Steven. I didn't mean to say those things about you in that other threa-- oh, you weren't talking about that?

I agree though. I realize it's a public forum and that people should expect criticism and not all sunshine and rainbows, but there is a great deal of flat out rudeness here sometimes (and all over the interwebs, sure and in the real world, but still...)

I am often astonished at what people write in a public forum about their spouse, *WITHOUT* their knowledge. Unbelievable. Communication is the #1 issue in a marriage & airing your dirty laundry violates so that on so many levels.

Well, sure, I agree with you, Dev. But what if the topic isn't about their spouse?

I know this is an internet forum, but I would still think that common decency should prevail.

I agree that sometimes you have to remember that there is a person there, not just a story. It is important to greet people with a sense of dignity and caring.

Astonished is an understatement.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
