Hey guys I have a quick question I was hoping yall could help me with. Well after going through this visa process for almost a year now :unsure: we got pregnant and the baby is now born :dance: . Does any body know how hard it is to get the child to come over. Do I have to do the visa process all over again? :wacko:

Please Help :thumbs:

Congratulations on the new addition! With a USC parent the child is automatically a US citizen, and needs no visa;

however you do have to file with the embassy "Report of a Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States of America".

Give them a call and then get the paperwork going so you can get a passport for your little one. It's painless compared to the visa process (at least it used to be)!

You can Report a Birth Abroad of a US Citizen with the US embassy in your country. Contact the embassy and they will schedule the appointment. It was what we did for our daughter and she is now the US citizen and holding a US passport and she born here in Thailand. You can also apply the US passport for the baby as well when you report the baby at the embassy and it takes about 2-3 weeks from what i remember.

Congrats first of all!

As long one of you is a USC, the child automatically becomes a USC.

Just as Thai Family and others stated, complete the form. Get it done ASAP.

At least, that's what they say in China.
