There seems to be a couple of VJers responding that are pretty experienced at the waiting game. I know it is small consolation, but they would no doubt sound off if they thought the delay was outrageous. Have you tried calling the USCIS Directors office? I read a post or two about people getting answers this way.

You mean calling directly to the USCIS Dir office? Where is the phone number??????

I don't remember if it was for the whole USCIS or just VSC. Let me scope around and see what I can find. You may get a response from some more knowledgeable VJer who sees this. I think you will still have to have him call - if I understand the earlier posts.
