Duplicate notifications from NVC

Hi all, something strange: not long after my NOA2 (woo!), I contacted the NVC away to see if they have received the I-129F info. They had received it 1 July and sent it out to the embassy Jul 3 (fast! :thumbs: ). However, I received a notifcation dated July 4th saying that they had received an apprived I-129F and they would pass it along to the embassy within a week. I said to myself "Ok, maybe they're a bit slow in sending out notices" and I brush it off. However, I have received a second identical notice, except now dated 9 July '08 <_< . I hope this doesn't mean they've made a mistake. Has anyone else shared this experience?

I have no clue why you got two. Perhaps a call to them would help put your mind at ease.

In any case...congratulations!

The USCIS is just beyond whacked some times and they send several NOA2s after approval. We received two Welcome to America letters and don't even know why.

05/10/07 - NVC receives petition, case # assigned

08/08/07 - Case Complete

09/27/07 - Interview, visa granted

10/02/07 - POE

11/16/07 - Received green card and Welcome to America letter in the mail

Removing Conditions

07/06/09 - I-751 sent to CSC

08/14/09 - Biometrics

09/27/09 - Approved

10/01/09 - Received 10 year green card

U.S. Citizenship

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview
