I've lived in the same city for 38 years ....and I still get lost. BUT... i've travelled the world, with many connecting flights, all by myself (what a big girl, huh?) . You will be just fine. When you get there you will see plenty of people and the monitors will lead you to your connecting flight..if all else fails.. just ask. :)

Travel safe.

Don't worry, you'll be okay  . Many of us first time travelers arrived here safe and not lost :). There are enough monitors and guides as you go through airports. And don't be shy too to ask for directions.More likely too there'll be fellow Pinoy travellers with you. Have a safe trip and Welcome to USA!!!

Aww don't worry, relax. That's cool that you're going to live in Tacoma, that's only 2 1/2 hours away from me!!! My fiance will also be flying into SeaTac Airport so that I can pick him up there and ejoy the weekend there. When i flew down to Mexico City and Back, I did it all by myself. I haven't been on an airplane since I was 8, and I just followed my parents. SOOO YES i was very scared. Just remember to not panic, and ask questions to people who WORK THERE... I capitalize that because I asked some guy for help and he didn't work there, and he turned out to be CREEPY! SO just make sure you ask for directions to those that actually work there ok. Good luck, pray, and relax :) Enjoy the view!!!!!

Listen carefully to the stewardess before embarking the plane coz they will give instructions to which gate you are going to exit and what gate for the next flight. Presence of mind!!!

Hi!

Since it will be your first trip (loooong trip) i suggest that when you booked your flight you can request "MEET AND ASSIST"/FIRST TIME TRAVELLER". If you requested this, as soon as you checked in at the airport (your exit airport I guess it would be NAIA )they will put a sticker on your shoulder which is very visible that flight attendants will assist you in any anything...especially in your connecting flights. Hope this can help you...

P.S I was a reservation/ ticketing officer (travel agency)

Have a nice and safe trip! Enjoy!

hi im mhay stewart i just got arrive here today in seattle together with my daughter and husband. its just easy sis. your airline is northwest right? like u we have stop over in narita. just follow the arrow and they have instruction there kaya nothing to worry. ang nakakalito lang ang airport sa tacoma sobrang laki talaga. sis saan kayo dito sa seattle. maybe we can keep in touch baka mag kalapit lang tayo. dito kami sa boren ave.maganda dito kaso talaga malungkot at first medyo nakaka homesick lang. 1 day palng me dito iyak talaga ako. theres no place like home sabi nga nila. anywya good luck sayo sa july 18 malayo ang biyahe kaya masakit sa katawan. god bless.

Steilacoom is very pretty. I always like driving right along Puget Sound. It is so peaceful. We really enjoyed our year at Madigan Army Medical Center, and have been back there since. You should be able to meet some other spouses from the Philippines, since Fort. Lewis is a rather large army post.

I've been lost and hurried in airports before. If you ask one person and they're not helpful, just ask another person until you get to where you need to go. I have never met anyone who got stuck in an airport for the rest of their life!
