Long Birth Certificate??

Hi guys, And sorry if its in the wrong place. Im all searched out

I only have a small square birth certificate without the parental details on it, but the checklist asks for long one, so i called mum and dad and asked them for it. They said they have only ever had that one. Has anyone had any experience like this? if i order a new one will it be the same as the one i have?

Any help pease :)

07-03-08 2nd Affadavit received

12-03-08 Our affadavit notarised

13-03-08 I-130 Posted DCF london Embassy

15-03-08 Application rejected (Rejection was due to lack of evidence of DW permission to work and live in the uk which they had already and eveidence we had been living in the country permanently for the last six months)

17-03-08 Re submitted I-130 and G-325a's DCF to london along with supporting evidence.

04-04-08 Credit Card Billed NOA1

05-04-08 Email received confirming File date 4th of April

09-04-08 Evidence received back along with Affidavit of bona-fide marriage

21-04-08 Applied for Police certificate from the Gardaí

31-05-08 Received Police Clearance from the Gardai

19-06-08 1400hrs sent application for Police clearance certs ACRO

19-06-08 1401hrs Realised i hadnt put in copies of bills and passport so posted them in a separate envelope

20-06-08 Received phone call asking for copies of bills and passport

28-06-08 Received ACRO police cert and RFE for Affadavits ####### see 09-04-08. Sent original affadavits

09-07-08 NOA2 Received :)109 Days from filing

11-07-08 Packet 3 Received

14-07-08 Posted DS-230 waiting on Birth Certificate (long)

11-08-08 Visa Interview APPROVED

12-08-08 Medical at 0850

19-08-08 Visa in hand

The long birth certificate is an extract of your birth data, you can get from the issuing authority, usually with a small fee.

I am not sure where you get it in UK, may be you should also ask this at the regional forum.

08/28 Submitted civil docs & paid $400 IV fee. Visa Interview & approved !!!

08/29 Visa in hand

09/30 POE IR1 visa interview took 166 days from the I-130 filing date (expedited).

10/04 Applied for SSN in married name.

11/11 Welcome notice received (dated 11/04)

11/15 Received Green card.

11/21 2nd Welcome notice received (dated 11/13)

11/24 Received SS card in maiden name.

I had the same problem. I went here:

http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/

Applied online, paid the extortionate sum, and received a 'long version' of the birth certificate. Its a certified copy you get. I will take that, and the short form with me to the interview.

For future note, you can get a copy of your full birth certificate from the registers office in the town/city you were born in. Far cheaper.

5th October 2007 posted petition on the 5th Oct 2007 to the US embassyLondon.

10th October 2007 the filing date was acknowledged via email and post.

10th January 2008 US London Embassy asking for further evidence of a bona-fide marriage.

22nd February 2008. Finally approved!

25th February 2008. Instructions arrive for preparation for interview including F-129.

22nd April 2008 All the documents required and our statement is sent to the US London Embassy 25th April 2008 Medical appointment time. Another trip to London!

26th April 2008 Medical was fine.

10 May 2008 Appointment made for June 5th. We had to register our Daughters birth abroad with the consulate and we had an appointment for June 27th. They called and made it for the same day!

5th June 2008th Doh! Consulate officer needs my wife to prove her domicile! She told me not to worry it should not be an issue. All they want are copies of tax returns and bank statements.

Again, the waiting game.... Closer though!!!!

July 1st. Loads of things arrived!!! Our folks sent over copies of tax returns and other things to prove domicile only for them to disapear in the post! We then paid $38 to fast track more copies over on a two day delivery and guess what... They all turned up today!!!

July 2nd. Called the Embassy courier and arrange collection.

July 3rd.. package collect and taken to Embassy! Now we wait.

July 10th Visa in my hands!!!!!!!!!!! Yay ... Now to book the plane!!!!
