Years ago, American beer was lacking, but thats no longer the case! My grocery stores have stopped carrying Molsons and labatts!! Damn them!!! Blue moon is very good

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

i am apparently a beer snob according to my friends. down here I usually stick with Stella, but also enjoy a Killian's red, a couple of the Sam Adam's aren't bad and the 'local' Abita brewery has some nice brews.

Unfortunately I'm in my '90 daypre-race window' so no beers for me until the afternoon of April 4th. Abita brewery is a sponsor so post-race beers are free!

BEER!!!!

That's the right thread for a Bavarian girl! Tonight I will have Beamish (it's like Guinness, but tastier). Loads of that, it's girl's night out. I don't know what I will do once I'm in the US because I don't like the American beer.

My favorites: Beamish, Guinness, Beck's (only bottled, tastes horribly from tab), Hefeweizen (preferably the dark ones) and any beer from small local breweries here in in Bavaria.

I can't help it, I am a beer snob. :(

Even at the ballpark I find it hard to drink the stuff thats there, if I HAVE to drink a mass produced beer, it would be labatt blue. But honestly I would rather not have it come down to that.

Donne moi une poptart!

Yea leave it to the native to bump the beer thread! :P

Anyhoo, I don't know if anyone has ever tried Smuttynose, probably the New England peeps. Its really good and I am drinking their winterale right now. Its actually unlike any beer I have ever had and has a nice tart aftertaste. If you like a darker beer I suggest this one. I was always drinking Full Moon for my winter ale, but this beats that hands down and Blue Moon is one of my faves.

smuttynose huh?? I don't think hubby has tried this..

He loves Sam Adams dark
