I did not realize that Ewok had you all on the payroll as the Sub Saharan Po leese. I will not censor myself just because some people dont like what I have to say. Since when does anyone stay on topic in this forum. I was not malicious nor attacking in my questioning, if anyone took it to another level it was the Sub Saharan Po leese. I have had PLENTY of PMs to me about this subject.

I don't think I said you were malicious or attacking in your post. If that is how you read it or if that is what I said that was not my intention. All I was saying was that you were bringing up personal business of the OP that has nothing to do with the thread and I thought that was irrelevant to the question.

And threads do go off topic. Meh, not a big deal. You said something and I responded to it. That is that. I gave you what my opinion of what you wrote was, no more and no less. I didn't say you shouldn't post. I didn't say you should censor yourself. I was just voicing my opinion on your line of questioning of the OP.

And no, I am not the VJ police and I have no desire to be. At the same time, like I said before, if I see something I do not like, I speak up.

And like you said, this is an open, public forum. People can post what they want, and not everyone is going to agree.

TBT, I don't mean to be rude but I think that the OPs reason for going to Ghana is her business and hers alone. And all the info about her children is not related to this either.

Its not our place to speculate what her plans are.

Oh...My....God!

I just came back on here and I see the nasty posts about me.

This is crazy. I just asked about rentals in Ghana.

How did my kids get put into this??

Is is a crime to take a vacation?

Yes, I just came back from visiting my husband. And had a lovely time.

Why I wanna go to Ghana? Well, lets see...I have a unlimited travel pass therefore I can go on the cheap anywhere and at any time. So why not??

2. Ghana is more developed than Gambia and I want to really relax on a TRUE vacation.

Why? I have been going round and round with my kids being kidnapped, dealing with this immigration process, etc etc. I can't do anything about getting my kids back right this very second (it's been 5 years already) so why kill myself.

I wanted a break with no one but just ME and ME only for a change! I need to go somewhere and sit on the beach with no one around, clear my head and just listen to the waves. I don't know anyone in Ghana...and THAT is the point! ME TIME ALONE. When going to visit my hubby, people were coming in to visit every minute..literally. Asking for money, letters to visit usa, promises to find them a mate, requests to take me to their houses and meet their relatives, etc.

Anyway, I know some people will not understand what I say and will probably find a way to dig in and dissect my words. Personally, that's their business.

But just because I go somewhere without my husband, I guess the police need to be called, huh?

My husband encouraged me take a rest and that's just what i'm doing.

And by the way, I came back to the U.S. cause I had an appointment and was going back to gambia on the 27th of July anyway. The rental request was for going FROM gambia and staying for a week in Ghana.

This is why I don't usually frequent this forum section. You ask a simple question and you get your head bit off. Good grief.

Peace out.

After your clarification I want to clarify my own previous posts, going from Gambia to Ghana for one week and back to Gambia would not cause any concerns to the CO.

I just saw a potential hurdle to overcome when I read your post about wanting to go to Ghana and saw your SO is in Gambia.

I hope you are able to attend the interview and get approved soon, Dakar does not have very long waiting periods for an interview appointment.

Best wishes.

In TBT's defense, I don't think she/he meant to cause WW3 but saw inconsistencies posted by the OP and asked for clarification.

That is the nature of a message board and the way it goes sometimes.

Things can get misunderstood.

We know TBT has a trollish posting style and made us laugh with countless smileys and silly youtubes and has defused flames with humor and has never to my knowledge been offensive, but inquisitive.

A clarification was asked for and given.

Just my 2 cents.

My posts were not nasty, nor malicious I just asked some questions about somethings that did not make sense to me. It was your choice to answer or not. It sucks that others have to make thier own interpretations of my questioning and made a mountain out of a mole hill. I appreciate your clearing things up I was pretty confused about the timeline.(which I did state) I never said the police should be called because you wanted to take a vacation I simply gave my opinion about what I would do and multiple visits.(I guess that is self interpretation) I also did not bite your head off, on the contrary several people jumped in and attacked me for asking questions. God forbid you are bold and ask questions to people when you need clarification. As far as your kids are concerned I thought you might have an update about that as well. You dont post in here very often...there are people who follow your story...

I find if interesting and annoying the way people interpret things in this forum. EVERYONE is constanly on the defence about SOMETHING. Rediculous.

By the way, to the person who said my case was complicated enough, what with my kids being kidnapped.

"My 2 cents is that Dakar is a very tough embassy and she may face the same questions from the CO. They will take whatever they want and make an issue out of it.

OP I would think twice before going to any country nearby your husband without seeing him, it can raise unwanted suspicion.

Your case seems complicated enough with the children being held in Gambia.

They will look at everything with a magnifying glass and may put you under AP to further investigate.

Though you have your own personal reasons, I advice you to be careful, the embassy looks at things a little different.

Everything will be questioned and scrutinized in Dakar.

Best wishes.

Guess what, I requested an expedite and specifically told them ABOUT that case.

I got an expedite approval and the approval letter said at the end "Good Luck and we hope you find your children."

Now it looks to me that it UN-complicated the case.

And besides, the embassy where my husband lives has personally known me for all the years BEFORE I started the petition. So they will have no problem sending that info and the fact that they met my husband many times before as well.

What do you think they need to investigate? It's all their in black and white going years back.

Peace.

Please take the time to re-read what was posted. NOTHING was said about anyone's right to speak their mind. Instead something was posted regarding the OPS reason for posting being that person's business, and hers alone. In addition to the info regarding her children not being related to what was asked.

Now .. GET A LIFE ... and find something better to do with your time besides hiding behind a 'new' ID (troll), taking the time to dig through past files in order to hurt someone elses's feelings, then try to innocently come across as being concerned.

When you are ready (able) to address me like an adult, rather than as a troll ... let me know. In the meantime ...GET A LIFE!

ALL things work TOGETHER for GOOD!

Again, your clarification sheds light on something I previuosly did not know.

I responded to what I knew from your previous posts. I tried to help you and did not realize that you took those steps with the embassy in Gambia. I can just imagine going before a CO with all that, but you took the correct steps and bravo for that, you handled it well, good for you.

One can only go by what one is told. There were no updates in your previous posts to understand anything that was going on.

Sure I could have kept my mouth shut and posted a link of Ghana's accommodations but my motive was to help in case you didn't realize what was in my mind possible hurdles to overcome at the interview.

You can judge me for that but if I see a potential issue that may be a problem for someone I speak up because I don't want them to have trouble at the interview. Excuse me for being concerned.

I don't know you. You don't post much here, I wanted to help. You were on top of it. Nothing more nothing less. Peace out !

YES SHE DID... If you were posed that question, Oboma...in all honesty...how would you take it?

People get offended on this forum for much less...Her line of questioning was VERY inappropriate. The OP SHOULD NOT have to explain her own business  . She posed a simple question and was met with a grimy question in response that was compounded by unnecessary suggestions that she did not ask for.

What is this really about? That is the question that should be asked here. Because this is deeper than "I'm just wondering" or I'm just trying to help you out" These responses were attacking in nature and it is evident in the way that these questions were posed.

Cutting and pasting old posts to make a case for something that most people were not even aware of??? :secret: Crucify her Why don't you...what the heck you already have her on the stand. All that detective work  took a lot of time an energy.... this is because........? :clock: Hmmmm.....

No matter how much that line of questioning is defended, it is inappropriate and malicious. Most of us who read that post I'm sure was like "Oh Damn!".... :o mouth agape and all....

and I really don't think TBT needs anyone to defend her....She is a big girl with a lot of wit...I'm sure she can manage :innocent::lol:

And no, there may not be an investigation after you said you explained the whole thing to the embassy. Again.......I did not know that and was

CONCERNED. I have been through AP and don't wish it on anyone.

Please pick on someone who is your enemy, I was concerned about you having problems in Dakar because I know Dakar. I wanted to HELP.

I won't try that again with you because I am getting smacked upside the head for trying to help.

I think your kind efforts were noticed. IMO the problem was when you started trying to make right, what was obviously wrong. Meaning ... TBT's real intentions.

Chin Up ;)
