November filers

Hi everyone,

I filed the I-130 in November 07. By the time I received the eac# it was January 08. Now on the NOA it says that the application was received in November but when I check the status of the case online it says the application was recieved in January. I have called the VSC and have been told that it doesnt matter. Any thoughts?

Also, can a US citizen apply for a visiting visa for the spouse while the I130 is pending?

Hi, the website is often wrong, so just go by the date on the NOA.

It may be difficult to get a vistor visa once the I130 is filed. On the visa application you must put your spouses name and where he lives. When they see that, they will think you will want to stay.

I dont understand why the processing dates for the I-130 in VSC is still showing July 07. A friend of mine filed the I130 in August 07 and his case was approved. He has even got letter from the NVC to sent all the required papers and the final fees.
