I'm just wondering.

We've been together over 2 years but now that he's almost here I'm starting to get all weird and panicky.

Not about us, but just about everything else....will he be ok here? What if he decides he misses home too much?

How will the kids be when he's here full time? Will he find a job that he loves, not just one to bring in money?

I might be having a good old fashioned hissy fit....there's a LOT going on in the next month.

Please tell me I'm normal (at least by VJ standards)?

oh yeah.i forget to read the 2nd part of ur paragraph.yeah LOL my advice to u , its natural to be worried about these things, keep in mind it may take ur non usc spouse a LONG time to adjust.........(my hubbys been here a year and he is just getting into the :swing" of things, working, making friends, getting used to culture...............

my advice is : be patient

be understanding

things u take for granted living here might be a big deal to ur spouse

dont be pushy, just let ur spouse be himself..............

and oh yeah u are normal! good luck on ur journey!

:) thanks.

I'm not usually one to react this way and I feel insane! We've been waiting so long to be together and yet today I've just been feeling so....

weird.

Whew!

I have no idea where this sudden panic is coming from. Perhaps because up until now it's all been hypothetical and it's about to be real?

Don't get me wrong, I've waited for this for a long time and I'm ready for him to be here. I think it's the moving here, having the wedding,

relatives descending upon us, all at once. I dreamed last night that we snuck to the justice of the peace so we didn't have to deal with the wedding.

gah.

Wow. I'm in the exact same position right now... we're only 9 days from his arrival (CRAZY) and I'm having all kinds of panicky thoughts... What the hell? I'm sure it'll all work fine, but the suddenness of all this is kind of unsettling. Glad to know I'm not alone.

I try to push it out of my head somehow. The real downer is looking at the AOS forms. I've pushed those aside, too.

Oh...the AOS forms. We've already started them of course because we want to send them in the Monday after our wedding, but....ugh. When will this paperwork ever end?

I'm soooooooooo glad to know I'm not alone. I'm probably panicking now because P's off on a Huette with friends this weekend so I can't talk to him to calm my nerves. We've never gone more than a day without talking and the fact that it's right before he gets here gives me mucho time to think.

However, I have to go to church in 45 minutes so I need to pull it together!

Junp,

I had two or three little panic breakdown type things before my loved one got here. Anticipation does weird stuff to a person I think. I went through a million 'what ifs' in my head. I think my mother was a source of some of them...I don't think she was completely convinced that our relationship was 'real'. I had some worries about money and homesickness and general about him feeling 'at home' here. I did not want him to feel like a 'guest'.

BUT....it's almost three months since Peter came over, and we are BLISSFULLY happy! Realistically of course, our expectations are realistic and a bit on the low side right now. But I think that helps with keeping our simple life in perspective which in term, keeps us alot happier.

As for the AOS paperwork....holy *&$!!. It seemed like it was four times more than the I-129f stuff we originally sent in. It seems some of the paperwork is redundant...and it would carry over. sheesh! But at least we are together now, nothing was as bad as being seperated while having to deal with the immigration process.

In other words...EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT!
