It said " EVEN IF" it IMPLIES that chances are not good upon first glance!!!!. It implies that an approval was not likely. example: my children want to go to burger king...i could possibly say something like " EVEN IF i wanted to get dressed and take you, i probably wouldn't allow it because it is bad for you" 2 hurtles, they wouldn't get passed the first one.

Actually, I am going to offer you another explanation to consider. You are dealing with extremes only - that if they don't say 'yes' immediately, then they are going to say 'no'. The way I read their statement was that 'even' if everything is absolutely perfect and there were no questions at all, we do not give the visa the same day. It is not a specific statement that 'we deny all applications', rather, it says 'even in the best of circumstances our process does not allow us the grant the visa the same day'.

That does not mean that they don't grant the visas at all. It means that they can approve someone at the interview, or they can review the information because they don't have the time to review it carefully at the interview and then approve it, or that they aren't sure and want to check into some things and then approve it, or that after careful review they deny it. It does not imply that approval is not likely - you are allowing your emotional investment in the situation to race to the worst possible scenario, not an objective one. The objective one is what I quoted above 'even in the best of circumstances and someone is approved immediately without any additional review or information required, we do not issue the visa on the same day'.

I know the process is an enervating one and it is easy to start to panic or allow fear to control you. Take a deep breath, and please try to see that others do have an understanding of the situation as well as you, and because they are not so intimately connected to your particular circumstances, are better able to see the situation more objectively.

So, using your analogy of taking the kids out, perhaps the real meaning is 'even if I got dressed and wanted to take you, I can't do it today but we can go tomorrow". Good luck with the interview.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
