I am not in dept.

ok

No one is in dept.

dept isn't even a word.

I thought dept was the abbrieviation for department and figured you had made your own.

But :ot2: we don't have any debt. Ironically as a result we can't get any.

I pay my bill off every month. I use my credit card like a debit card, I make note of what I've spent so when it comes to paying the bill I know I've accounted for it. The only reason I have a credit card is to collect points which I then redem for vouchers at Christmas time.

$800, only because our lawn mower died and we needed a new one pronto. It will be paid off by the end of the year, max.

About the same here. Bunch of car repairs...

Car repairs are the only real credit card debt I have. All my other cards get paid off every month.

I use credit cards to sort of guard against fraud transactions. On a credit card its only borrowed against the line of credit as opposed to your bank account balance.

Nada, I pay it off every month.

My student loan on the other hand....

Same for me/us. I carried a CC bill after I got divorced and had to basically restock my life with stuff like a bed, etc... and then for traveling overseas. We paid that off when we got here and then went on to start saving for teh student loan. If you count that, I'm 50k in debt... but last year we were 70k. so we're hoping another 2 years or so to be totally out. We're just working on it single-mindedly.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.
