Interview language,..?

Hi VJ friends,......

I have question for interview language,...When you have interview in foreign embassy,..in what language you will be interviewed,..?? On english language or foreign embassy language??

Since you're interviewing at a US Embassy or Consulate, I imagine they will have the ability to speak and understand the native language of the country they are working in plus English, obviously, but I'm reasonably certain that all Visa interviews are conducted in English. Remember, all supporting documents not written in English must be translated into English by someone certified to do so, so it would only be natural that the person conducting the interview would also conduct the interview in English, and expect replies in English.

The CO's at US embassy in Manila are english speaking, so we talked in english.

Check the embassy website. Most embassies do not require translation of documents if the are in english or the language of the country where the embassy is that you are going through. Also, most of the interviews can be conducted in the language of the country.

if you countries language is english yes you have to do the interview in english, but if you countries is not english official language you don't have to conduct interview in english. for example china one can either choose it in english or chinese or the dialect.

but the VO might look at the communication between the two of you and might rise some red flags about that

No my country language is not official language english,so we might be able to have interview in our language,but I heard another story,people who is applaying for non-immigrant visa as a tourist visa, student visa,bussines visa,etc, they have interview on english,so I don't know if it's same with immigrant visa,I think it's the best way to call embassy and ask them directly about that language interview.

That is NOT TRUE all documents issued in foreing language MUST be accompanied by a Certified Notarised Translation into English language. And yes an immigrant visa interview can be conducted in the language of the country that the embassy is in. Actually they give you a choice.
