Speaking of the stench of curry, are you familiar with the many pre-sale attempts made to rid a home of the smell after an Indian family has lived in it for a few decades? I'm familiar with a few and the details are scary. That smell is evil magic.

The smell of curry has never bothered me. Better than cat piss or dog ####### as far as house selling goes, I would think.

I can't say I've ever smelled it, then. The worst I've ever smelled was at one of the local motels. It's owned by an Indian family, and the smell of curry wafts out of their door when one of them comes up to the counter. I haven't been there for probably 15 years, though....

A few weeks ago, I went to a few open houses in a predominantly Indian neighborhood. Most of the homes had the smell. In one of the homes, they ripped out all the ductwork and replaced it, and all the drywall too... but it still smells. The smell is the kind that gets in your throat and makes you cough.
