Because, we did not ultimately marry the people we did because the were "hot". We married them because they were good people with a good heart. After all, the hotness does not last for ever, but a good heart does.

Anyway, But with the different religions, it is their pride that causes many wars. Because one religion is trying to force their values and beleifes on other people. Because they think they are the only ones that are right and everyone else is wrong. This is their pride in their religion. And an example of bad pride.

Again, It is good to have pride! Just don't try to force your beliefs on other people.

I have a theory about religion.

I was brought up christian, so I believe in a superior being. But it is my belief that with all of the religions in the world, it is the same being, we just all have different names and stories for it. Nobody who is around today was around at the beginning of the world. So, a story starts, then after time as that story is told, it changes. Kind of like these threads sometimes. So it goes in different directions. That is how we get so many different explinations for the same thing.

Just my theory.

Pride for me is a feeling of self respect or self worth. It could be either good or bad depending on the situation. Of course you should take pride of your achievements but need not to have such "high pride" thing to brag about it and belittle other people. My religion teaches humility.. I guess all should have a well balanced pride and humility.

Very good example of how two different groups that basicly use the same tactics to express their pride can be viewed completely opposite.
