I'm trying to calculate my budget for all of this and I was wondering do I need to be present for my fiance's interview?? or is it only him?

I strongly suggest that you attend your fiance's interview. When the petitioner is present, it makes all the difference. I attended my husband's interview. Had I not been there, I could see the CO giving him a hard time.

The Dominican Republic is one of the few consulates where it is very unlikely that a visa will be issued if the USC is not there as well. Plan accordingly.

Also, don't buy his return tix until he has the visa in hand.
