PASPORT STAMPED NO APPROVAL LETTER OR GREEN CARD YET

I had my I-485 interview three weeks ago in garden city and got I-551 stamp on my passport and up till now i've not received an approval letter or green card on application of I-485 base on approved VAWA.I called INS office just a little while ago and the I was told that my case was transfered to NY for supervisor review.I'm very sad at this time.Is there anyone who have experience this before? or what this mean? is the I-551 revokeable?

if they were going to revoke it, they'd have to call you in and destroy that page in your passport.

I can't think why they'd approve you (by giving you the I-551 you are an approved legal permanent resident) and then send your file off for supervisor review. That makes no sense at all. I think they're confused.

I'm very confused too,I don't know what to do at this time,my weekend was messed up when I found out yesterday.I have more than enough evidence that I was battered my my ex wife.I wish I could be done with all this and put the whole mess behind.I'm hoping in the Lord.I still don't know why they have to send my file to NY office to be reviewed after my passport was stamped.
