I've been there before and we had a horrible time. It was about 10yrs ago. My parents both said it was much nicer then they were kids. Don't think I could live there.

eta: my dad's parents had a condo there when he was little. they went all the time.

well, we just moved south cocoa beach and i must say ITS PERFECT....i mean everything...weather, people, house we've got...its amazing...especially the weather.... :) no more texas and louisiana....its so nice to finally walk on the patio every morning and evening and just relax....and see the ocean and palm trees...

What's wrong with it?

I think part of it was it wasn't as nice as it was when they were younger so we expected it to be better. The weather was ####### that week, the beach was dirty, it was just kinda dreary.

I'm going to Destin and then Key West in a few weeks. Never been to Destin. I should start a thread to see what's best to do there.
