here i go again with my incessant barrage of questions. :bonk: i'd like to thank everyone who has been really patient with me and who have indulged my inquiries.

it's a pretty simple question actually. Is the Irs transcript just the same as the FORM 1040 (federal income tax return) and the w-2 (both are required documentation for AOS)?

thank you!!! :D

thanks fwaguy. my husband has a co-sponsor, which is her mom. does that mean my hubby has to print the affidavit of support twice? or does the co-sponsor have an entirely different document altogether?

Each joint sponsor must execute a Form I-864 that is submitted in addition to the Form I-864 submitted by the petitioner or substitute sponsor.

So it's two different I-864, one for your husband and one from mom. Hope that helps!

I have the same question.

I keep seeing you need to include tax returns (with w2), as well as IRS transcripts. I thought these were the same thing.

Can anyone explain the difference? I had the IRS fax me the transcripts, and I have ordered my w2s from work.

I am wondering where to find my tax returns now.

Thanks in advance. :)

While you can always provide both, it is most important to provide one or the other.

YMMV

Oh okay. So the FoRm 1040 (irs transcript) is entirely different from the w-2 but both are not required, only one or the other?

packet 4 says form 1040 and w-2 are required. i'm a bit confused.

Form 1040 plus ALL schedules and attachments (W-2, etc..) = Transcript.
