well, no, not her last name.. but I'm guessing they are doing so-called "security checks" on her.. it's a lot easier to find a person's background here than over there..

Gogo, cannot be her last name that delays the process. "chen" is one of the top four last names together with "li", "huang" and "zhang"! I am sure it will hit one billion people with the same last name if they are so stupid to do "security check" on her last name. :-)

I think that part of it is the chance that he made a little too much "noise" and they don't want to deal with the 'problem' case. I'm only speculating *obviously* but I don't think it's beyond the realm of apprehension.

I'm not faulting you in any way. I can't say I would sit quietly by and twiddle my thumbs either. But it sounds like you've contacted everyone under the sun and people in the position of power (and adjudicators most certainly are!) don't like getting their toes stepped on.

I also could be COMPLETELY WRONG. I was just saying that it might not be just the facts or a piece of paper holding up your paperwork... which SUCKS.

haha, thanks guys.. yes, probably you are right in that they keep a record of all the times that you call.. they said I have called 12 times from the time of April 2007 (when I filed) to December 2007.. and probably a lot more this year too.. another topic shows people getting approved after 365 days (2 of them recently), so I should probably just wait some more..
