i was wondering if anyone had experience with DCF personally filing at the embassy VS. mailing it in to the embassy? I will be filing DCF in Frankfort germany. I dont know if it would be wiser to bring the I130 in person and file it or if it is ok to send it to the embassy registered mail? i would like to save any time of course of bringing this whole ordeal faster.. but i dont know if mailing it or going there is so different for time? frankfort is about 300 miles from me here but its worth it if it takes alot of time off the visa wait.

Your best bet is to handwalk the petition into Frankfurt.

I-864 Arrived at NVC: 05-28-2008

I-864 Entered into NVC System: 06-02-2008

IV Bill Received: 06-02-2008

Taking it in person would only be worth it if it wasn't a huge hassle or expense to do it. Your total wait time doing DCF through Frankfurt will only be a few months if there are no snags. If it were me, I wouldn't want to make the trip there twice when I had the option not to.

US Immigration Timeline

24 Feb 2007 - Sent I-130 to London USCIS office (I'm the petitioner)

25 May 2007 - NOA2

2 June 2007 - Received Packet 3

12 Oct 2007 - Sent Packet 3 back by special delivery

5 Nov 2007 - Interview in London - Approved without any hitches!

7 Nov 2007 - Visa and MBE arrived by SMS! :)

30 Jan 2008 - Fly to Michigan!! :)

*Note: Any delays in our case are only due to us taking things slowly
