Levi has his medical today at 1pm. Can anyone tell me exactly what it includes? They said expect to be there a few hours.... He mentioned something about alien probing :o

It's nothing to worry about. When I went they had me fill out a little bit of paperwork, then we went for bloodwork, which was really quick, then a quick chest x-ray, and then a quick visit with the doctor where he listened to my chest, checked my eyes and ears, my height and weight, and that was it. I had my medical in Vancouver and the reason it took a few hours is because there were so many people there and it was first come first serve. I was like 5th in line, but it still took a good 3 hours. Hope that helps!

June 5, 2008- Legal wedding

October 11, 2008- Wedding ceremony with family

December 6, 2008- AOS package mailed

December 8, 2008- Package received

December 15, 2008- Check cashed! WOOHOO!

December 22, 2008- All 3 NOA1's received

January 5, 2009- I-485 transferred to CSC. Here's hoping for no interview!

January 14, 2009- Biometrics

February 23, 2009- EAD and AP received in the mail, dated Feb 14th.

April 23, 2009- Welcome to the United States Letter arrives. Card to follow.

June 1, 2009- GC received in mail. Approval date 04/09/09

Done with USCIS until 04/2011!

Levi had a set appointment in Winnipeg so hope he doesn't have to wait long. Thanks for the info he had all kinds of images running through his mind of being poked and prodded :jest: He went paintballing last night so can't be any worse than the damage inflicted there! They may wonder why he is all welted and bruised though :lol:

Mine was a real breeze (besides my car being hitched to a tow-truck and me runing out half-dressed to get my car moved - but that's a whole other story :lol:) blood test, chest x-ray, questions about your general health, basically like a trip to your family doc for a physical!

OMG :lol: Well Levi just text and said "All done, That was easy!" Still waiting for more details but less than an hour so good news! I guess he needed two shots which he got with no charge! Yay! One step closer... Now just waiting to hear from the consulate on the interview date!

drug testing at all... anyone know? Not that I have significant drug issues, just wondering :P

  • 7/24/08 -- NOA1 (finally!)
  • 12/2/08 -- NOA2 (WOOT!!!!)
  • 12/8/08 -- received at NVC
  • 12/22/08 -- packet 3 (with packet 4 attachment instead of checklist :P)
  • 12/29/08 -- packet 3 sent back with bits and pieces that I pulled together to make up a packet 3
  • 1/5/09 -- actual packet 3 received, but found out by via e-mail that they were satisfied with what I had already provided
  • 2/10/09 -- found out via call to DoS that my interview is scheduled!
  • 3/16/09 -- interview!!!! APROVED!!!
  • 4/7/09 -- MOVE!!!!!!!!
    Crossed at Detroit/Windsor Tunnel... pretty painless, about 45 minutes, inexperienced officer, asked for and received EA stamp
  • 4/13/09 -- Married in New Orleans!!!!!!!!
  • 5/30/09 -- Filed AOS/AP/EAD
  • 6/1/09 -- AOS etc received in Chicago

you do have blood work done, not sure if testing for drugs is part of that or not.
