Hi Everyone,

I have my K3 interview scheduled for next week, the 15th. However, due to work conflicts I had to cancel my medical and they can't reschedule me until July 23. So I emailed the consulate this week and told them and asked to have my interview pushed back as well.

I haven't heard back from them yet and getting a little anxious. Does anyone know if you reschedule do they send another appointment letter or will they reply in the email? If I don't hear back from them by the 15th should I go to my interview anyway to talk to them so I don't just miss it? Any advice for this would be much appreciated. My interview is in Vancouver.

Thanks!

I may be wrong, but couldn't you go to the interview and then send them the results for the medical once you're able to get it? I think that they can do some sort of pending approval until they get all of the documents they need.

Has that happened to anyone here?

Hi Lincoln,

The consulates can sometimes be awful about replying to emails - and sometimes they are just great!

You could go to the interview anyway if it works for you, then, if your visa is approved it would just be a matter of them waiting to receive your medical before issuing the visa.

If you don't hear back from them I would recommend you definately attend the interview.

I absolutely did my interview and then the medical the next day. Did you phone the doctor in Vancouver? The receptionist is really fabulous about getting people in. I would definitely try that. I emailed the consulate and explained to them my situation and they said that it was no problem to have the interview on Tuesday and then the medical on Wednesday. The medical in Vancouver is a little bit more expensive than elsewhere, but they give you the same day results. I went to my interview Tuesday which was wonderful except I needed the medical done. Then I went for my medical early in the morning on Wednesday, picked up the results in the afternoon, delivered them to the Consulate, and then was told my visa would be issued the next day. I went to the Consulate Thursday afternoon and picked up my passport and newly printed visa. It was perfect! Let me know if you've got any questions, I'll be happy to answer them if I can. I would definitely email the Consulate though, first thing. When they eventually got back to me they said I could get my medical done the day after the interview, or I'd have to wait for their next available interview date which was over a month away.

I went to the RCMP in White Rock (has to be the city you live in) and she did it right there and I took it home with me. I think it was $45 or 50. I needed to make an appointment.

Just warning you that if you cancel your interview date you'll go back to the bottom of the list as if you just submitted your packet 3.

I'd say try the interview pending approval with submission of the medical at a later date.
